GTX 560Ti 448 benchmarks

I was really looking forward to this card, but now understand it's based on the GF110 and not the GF114 - this may mean it's hotter than the current 560Ti and therefore not so OC'able.

Oh well, just need Nvidia to pull summit out of the bag price-wise I guess. Doubt it mind - I guess ~£225 (which is too much).

That's fairly impressive if it's accurate. However, the real questions about this card are to do with price and OC'ability. If it's GF110 then it might not OC well and if it's limited to 10,000 units, as has been rumoured, then it will probably be a bit too pricey to be worth it.

Rumoured to fill in the current 560ti price slot, I'd imagine the overclocking headroom to be similar to that of the 570, considering it shares more in common with the 570 than the original 560ti.

There are 1GB 6950s for sub-200. Dare I hope for a sub-200 price point? Probably not, given that it's NVIDIA.

Who cares? This card is solely to try and prevent people buying new gen AMD cards, by releasing a higher end card with a bit more disabled and they'll tank the price the second AMD cards come out.

However, 6970 performance, at half the power, at £150-180? Or less performance, double the power usage and potentially less features, for a new 560ti?

Even if you insist on going Nvidia, wait till the AMD card launches and take advantage of Nvidia competing on price rather than performance.

Hell, 7850 in xfire could be stupid performance for stupid cheap, if they hit around £130, and maybe only a little more for 2gb(depending on what it comes with as standard), then a pair of them, will give stupid performance for probably less power than a current 6970 and around the same price it could be 70-80% faster?

That is, when the drivers are good for the games.

Hopefully it will come in at a decent price point and with a lower price than people are thinking i hope it does least that way we can "think" were getting a bargain.
It gets so darn confusing when they re-badge stuff though, apart from finding a use for "didn't make the grade to be a 570" does it actually serve any purpose other than to confuse the market and the end user even more?

The rumours imply that the new AMD 7850 and 7870 will be launched the 4th of December. If that is the case there is no point in buying these until mid-december at least IMO due to price fluctuations.

I want a card to replace my GTX280, ideally Nvidia as 3dvision is amusing me at the moment. I'm hoping for some decent ‘This week’ price deals on Wednesday as Nvidia get ready to shuffle the stock around. I predict.....
GTX560 £99
GTX560Ti £129
GTX560Ti (448) £169
GTX570 £199
GTX580 £249
GTX580 3GB £300+

Then I'll be utterly spoilt for choice between a pair of 560's or a GF110 based card....

I predict you're being a smidge over-optimistic. :D

I heard elsewhere that GTX 580s are coming down to £280. Which is £60 higher than what I suggested base on a rumoured US price drop ratio.

If that's the case I'd imagine GTX 570 will come down (low 200s?). Not by a lot though because at the moment GTX 580's pricing over the 570 is disproportionately higher than the performance. I think the gap will close.

one thing is for certain, nvidia will cripple them with only 1gb of ram

IF they stick 2gb on, they could be a sub £200 beast

I agree with this. I have a gtx 560ti which I wanted to sli but because of only 1 gig it now seems pointless as I game at 1920x1080 and bf3 requires more than the 1 gig I have. I am frustrated to say the least.
