***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

My phone is constantly on 3G only? Internet used on it 24/7 and it maintains 3G speeds.

If that is the case, you must stay in the same room all the time and live on top of a mast.
I took part in the survey the BBC did recently and installed the app.

That showed i had access to 3G 55% of the time. I live in Central Scotland and work in Glasgow.

I have full 3G coverage wherever I go in Bradford / Leeds, and also when I was at uni in a town, not a major city across in two seperate campuses and 3 student houses.

As I said, it's likely patchy at times but you probably just don't notice it.

Either that are you're extremely lucky and always in a good spot for a 3G signal. Probably the former.

Every post I make on this forum after midnight, and 24/7 since the router bust is done from my 3G. I can play MMOs and upload videos to youtube using it as well. I have relied on 3G for my internet since I went to Uni, and itss always been great for over 7 years now.

In the same spot, with a good signal it's possible for it to be excellent, I'm not disputing that, but overall it isn't as great as you're making it out to be.

So what you're saying is, T-Mobile cover the entire country with a fast 3G signal?

They don't. Ask them and they'll tell you the same. It's just your area and likely your phone misreading a bit too.

Ohhhhh, Im sorry. Yes ofc it isnt 95%, but they claim to cover around that much of the population.

Also T mobile appear to reserve HSDPA speeds and connectivity only to users of web n walk plus or max. If you arent on a data plan that allows tethering, you get a significantly requced level of 3G quality and signal.

Anyway, I think I'll be returning this phone now and cancelling within 14 days.

The only thing thats nice about it is the sceen + android.

A free Lumia 800 on my current contract will be more than perfect, I dont need this phone as well, and if I need more internet allowance I can top up a 3 payg sim card.

Have you tried a Lumia 800? I had been thinking of getting but think I would miss Android.
The Lumia appealed to me mainly because it's a cheapper option. Update the Lumia thread once you get it.

No I havnt tried one yet, and I wont have one for another few months anyway.

I really cant afford to keep both contracts, and T mob will give me a free Lumia 800 on my half price flext 35 and web n walk max, which is only £30 pm and 18 contract.

If I get a text message warning me of reaching 80% of my FUP, I can just add £15 to a 3 payg simcard and use that for the rest of the month, which is better than having two contracts.

There seem to be too many bugs with this Galaxy nexus, it doesnt have the spec I thought it did, andthe Lumia 800 would be just as good for me, plus I prefer how it looks a lot more.

Should I at least open and try the galaxy nexus tomorrow, or simply refuse the delivery and have it sent back? The later means I dont have to bother with posting it myself.
