Everyone in OCUK I bumped into yesterday on Smogsys was using either F2000 or SCAR-H, no joke.

...mind you I was using G3 with IRNV. People in glass houses I guess.

i use scar-h with RDS

guess i might have to re-evaluate that now...

I hate people that use IRNV.. like i want to find where they live and send them a really nasty letter

Play by the ethos of, "If they use it, so shall I".
Nothing stops you but arrogance to the fact you may think it's a stupid design, but you can't do anything about it other than complain.
So use it, equal the odds, nothing is fair in online war.

I'm given a set of tools, as does my opposition, I will not choose the weakest toolset, you'd be foolish, stupid and stubborn to do so. Strength of these toolsets of course is variable to the individual.

I found myself firing a whole clip at the sun the other day as I thought it was a player on the hill with a flashlight.
I have to say that's quite a spectacular feat of special there, there's absolutely no way I could confuse the two, I guess ....others do? The contrasting difference on my PC is like black and white, maybe that's why.

I think he was kidding. But he's not far off, the tactical light is ridiculously bright.

The IRNV...I hate it, but I don't use it. It's a bit of a crutch, I'd rather try out the multitude of other optical unlocks and better myself with them rather than cheapen by own game experience with it.

Unfortunately in games like this, for most players unlocks are the ultimate achievement and they will do anything to better their KDR, rather than just enjoying the immersion and variety the game can offer.

Not using IRNV and then complaining about people using IRNV is stupid, if you have the unlock, use it, because everyone else is.

I could use it to get even, but what would be the point if I didnt enjoy the game as a result?

Thats a bit daft, if everyone was throwing themselves off cranes ingame and not deploying thier chutes would you do the same

Thats not a good analogy at all.

If im playing on a server and everyone on the opposing team has F2000/Supressor/IRNV and i don't at least use IRNV then i stand to die multiple times before i even see my opponent.

I have started to not use IRNV but then after dieing over and over again to those with F2k/IR i will revert to SCAR-IRNV mostly because my team is getting shallacked and no one likes to fight a completely unfair fight.

I unlocked this last night and gave it a try, can't say I can really see much difference. Or have I just been unlucky with it so far?

PS. If yr a squad leader, please feel free to do your job and call out which objective you would like us to go for.....otherwise, step aside and let someone who will call them out lead the squad. This really grates with me!

To be fair the squad system is so simple to the point of being completely useless anyway, nobody stays to actually defend a point its cap the point move to the next one, move to the next one, move to the next one, go back round to the first one thats been retaken in 1 big circle... I am currently considering setting up shop on a point and actually defending it for an entire round, but unless its a front line point you will get zero points for doing that

And because some of the maps are console designed, there are only 3 places to hide around a point (and usually a well placed grenade can hit all three).

So no nerfs to the F2000 and IRVN.... WIN.... Back to being a noob for me! TDM 250tickets hardcore: pwnage + our servers always full running that.

Iam not certain but according to the patch notes your now unranked with the 250 tickets

This is what I hate about forums, you can't tell if people are joking (not always) because it's purely text, no emoticons.

As well as the fact, you know yourself people can be very, very stupid so I hate it when people hide behind "I was kidding" "I'm just trolling".

If you don't want to look like a fool, don't say it, or elaborate.
Seen it happen ever increasingly around here the past week like it's a plague.

I think it's fine, but I can understand other people's complaints.
To me, it's a giant "shoot me here" marker, it gives away people's position and it's it easier. You can't simulate directed light in a game, so another option was taken, an ambient/wide glare.

I've got a flashlight(torch..) right here, I can go outside, get someone to shine it into my eyes and it will be very unconfortable to maintain eye contact with. It's not expensive either and those are military spec.

This is the problem with multiplatform games like this...will IRNV nerfs be acceptable on consoles or is it more necessary?! i just dont know how much they can seperate each platform for balancing given variations in maps and player numbers between the different systems.

Yea but if i was in the army and some dip kept blinding me id pick up a pair or raybans for the next time i was in a conflict.

The flashlight it is way too bright.
