So has anyone here not experienced a problem?
No problems so far, just the usual lag, but thats more than likely my own connection which isnt great tbh. If i experience any issues ill add them to your problem thread.

I saw all these RPG chopper videos so I decided to have a stab at it, I set afterburner recording expecting to record several rounds to try and get something worth posting.

It took me 10 seconds to luck out massively, this is the unedited first 15 seconds of footage I ever recorded of a game.

I know its not amazing but 10 seconds!!

Lol. Not this again. If this is a cheat then so is every unlock in the game as they all give a unfair advantage against new players.

Especially if you're playing against a high ranking squad.

The squads with OcUK lads in quite regularly have Squad Ammo, Squad Spring, Squad Flak, and maybe even squad explosives as well. So members of that squad have all the usefull specializations all stacked up against oppositon that maybe don't even have any yet.

Combine that with their F2000 or G36C they might be running around with, your at a severe disadvantage.

I think part of the problem is that DICE aren't sure quite HOW to balance it. They don't want to remove it from the game as it does have its uses - it is supposed to make it easier to find players. But the question is how to balance it such that players don't moan too much.

Personally i think if they removed the IRNV altogether, the next moan would be the USAS, and then the next moan would be frag ammo, and then the next moan would be that machine guns are too accurate, and then the next that engineer guns are too good, and that everybody should have C4 etc.. etc..

It would just shift the moaning and whinging onto something else.

Lucky you, but Rage which came out quite a while ago still hasn't been fixed for ATI. Like I said, only dice could tell you how many of their userbase are having issues in comparison to say Crysis 2 (also plagued with issues on launch and 1st patch), but considering their sales of the game, I would say that the amount of people whining is still normal for BF game (about anything and everthing).

I don't consider spending £30 on something that doesn't work as lucky. Nor do I consider my self to be lucky that all the other games I paid for work as they should either.

I appreciate that PC's are all different and that is part of the reason that PC games have more problems than we would like. But the simple fact is the PC that won't play BF3 MP that I paid god money for, played the alpha and beta of BF3 without any problems.

If they would just nerf the irnv for daylight use, it would be a bit better. I thought nv equipment didnt work in daylight anyway?

should I ignore it

Hi all
Using Avira software and its picking up malaware in the new patch, what is the best option to take get the computer to ignore it or send it to quarantine ? I have a feeling if it goes to quarantine it wont install the game. thanks

The IRNV is based upon a new scope, called ENV - enhanced night vision.

It combines thermal imaging with infrared image intensifying night vision into the same scope.

If you watch the manufacturers adverts

You can clearly see the military training with them outdoors in the day light at 01:00

and again in this

Pretty cool stuff.

avira = false positives for lots of games

There appears to be a bug with this patch, You can spot targets in the jet, but the orange symbol won't appear above them, it does however if you switch to the outside view!

Same for me mate, just add to ignore list. Avira are aware and will sort the issue in the next update.

Very cool indeed, my experience of nv equipment is limited to 1st and 2nd generation russian stuff, (used for fox shooting). Not great tbh. Far better off with a lamp.

I think the limit to most peoples experiences is the pair that came with the prestige edition of Modern Warfare 2 that were diabolical :D

They used an infrared light. Great for walking about the house feeling all ninja, not so great in a field at night time when playing airsoft and the opposing team have image intensifying night vision. Might as well have a huge neon sign above your head saying shoot me lol
