Well basically I had ordered a 2500k and MSI Z68 GD65 first, thats what arrived today.
I didnt want it anymore because I wanted to keep my R3E. Then I just spotted the I7 980 on this week only for £427. Ideally I wanted it for £300, but I thought 'stuff waiting, I want it now'.
But thats also coming by DX
Its only going into an old Antec P182, but this is the CPU I wanted. I have around £300 worth of old hardware to sell anyway, plus a couple of old phones to pay for the CPU upgrade.
If it arrives later than 6 pm again after I wait all day with no sleep, expect much rage.

Nice dude, looking around at cases atm, my stacker 810 has had it day. Time for something with better cooling!

every order i have done i have always had DPD i think they are a great courier even a lot of stuff from other sites are sent through DPD i have never heard of DX secure and i dont think i want to use them ever from what i just read if OCuk going to do free delivery i dont know why they dont do what other sites do put a 2-5 delivery time on it, i think paying for the service you want like next day is better than getting a unreliable company to deliver your goods
My cpu came this morning at 07:50, weird thing is I didn't get an Invoice?

Your order conifrmation (email) will have all your order details.
If you need an offical hardcopy post a request in the Customer Service Forum and they'll probably send you one out by return of post.

Haha. Anything is better than nothing. I'm pretty greatful I get free delivery. If the company is a bit naff, then it's a small price to pay for free delivery on small items.
Not in my case,my last order was £400 and the only free delivery option was DX which i declined and opted to pay for DPD so in a lot of cases its not worth having free delivery as i would never trust DX with exspensive items.
I paid £428 for the I7 980, but it was still on DX, as was the Z68 mobo and 2500k that I asked them to send back. I just need my CPU upgrading, but dont want to lose my epic motherboard.
Could expensive things on free delivery please be sent by DPD in the future?

Use DX for other things and never had a problem but then again the delivery guy in our area is a really nice bloke
The same thing here bud. I have had 3 items sent via DX and not had a problem. Maybe just lucky but still I am thankfull for the free postage as it does keep costs down.
Anyone else cant get their free shipping working? I've had to claim back postage about 5 times after ive made orders by ringing them up.
Was told it was an issue and they are working on it but no one else seems to have this problems?

Ok, my I7 980 is being delivered today. I be awake with inadequate sleep waiting until I get it (alone for another month or so, my door answerers are on holiday).

That make sense. You'd rather pay another company shipping fee's when you could just easily pay them at OcUK if you are not happy with their *FREE service.
*FREE as in; OcUK are not obliged to give us free delivery but they do and yet, people still aren't happy.

They did that to me as well and the second time it was a no show, third time no show again and then I just had it redirected to my work address which did turn up. It seems to depend on the area where you live but overall DX Secure are pants and often not worth the free delivery!
I will no longer order anything from OCUK if it is DX secure doing the delivery, I don't want to get stuff delivered to my work address and then take it all the way home! I'd rather pay the few pounds extra and get it from a retailer, I am glad I am near TCR in London, full of computer retail shops.
I dont have any other address it can go to!!! Only mine. If it doesnt turn up tomorrow, what do I do?
