It's not so much whinging but just fact that the F2000 wipes the floor against any other carbine, which puts someone who only plays 5hrs per wk at a huge disadvantage in a firefight. Bit unfair for the people who cant dedicate 5hrs per day to this game to be the canon fodder of the students and stay-at-home dads!

I much prefered BF2's unlock system where u actually put some thought into what u wanted to unlock and if u screwed up the choice, it was another 20,000 points till u could get another one! Having to rank up each gun is just annoying.

I only get to play an hour a few times a week, i reckon it will take me until Feb to unlock the f2000 :(

m27 lar is a monster i have that with a square sight on and i cant believe how good it is close and over distance

nearly unlocked all guns now just recon to finish off

Depends on gun, range, accuracy and ammo in the clip really.

I personally don't have any problem with F2000, i play as engineer and recon. I'm never in people faces. It seems as though other Assault players should have issues with it, but they have the choice to use the gun as well.
 
The SCAR was fine, it only has 20 rounds so it needs to pack some power and you need to be able to hit your target with it. Should never have been touched.
 
I disagree with the nerfing as each advantage had to be earned but usually there is always a defence against it which can be earned as well

Planes and helis now have a major advantage and a good pilot with loads up upgrades could always rule the skies even against a fully loaded AA.

Playing tanks on levels with good pilots now is no fun as it's a tank massacre unless your side has good pilots as well to keep the planes and helis away from you.

You may as well lob potatoes at the heli's.

To be fair, its like that in real life, in a battle with a enemy who is on a similar technological standing the tanks would be wiped out virtually instantly by the oppostitions air force.
If you look on Wiki even after Stingers were introduced in afghanistan the russians quickly modified the the Hind D so they were not as effected by them, you had to be packing 23mm rounds just to scratch the cockpit glass so anti aircraft guns were not up to much against them either so you had to hit them with other air craft or lots of stingers, or meaty groud to air missiles.

Just seems a stupid way of doing things to me in a game where it takes half a clip to drop people in some cases where as in real life you would virtually never be rocking full auto in combat and one bullet is more than enough to kill someone most of the time.
A game where it takes at two hits with a javelin to kill a tank, where in real life, one hit, from any aspect, regardless of reactive armor will kill a M1 Abrahams.
But we make the helicopters and jets virtually unkillable after a certain level, regardless of what you hit them with.

I don't feel that it takes anywhere near "half a clip" to kill someone, even in normal mode.

But if this is such an issue, just play HC mode, much more satisfying and lethal.

Same, about 5 bullets to the chest does it for me.

We dont have life bars in real life so thats why its different ;)
 
The F2000 whine is getting ridiculous.

In BF3 damage is calculated by what bullet is fired, not individual guns, the F2000 uses the same rounds as the M416, the M16 and a few others, and they all do the same damage - the only variation is in handling characteristics and rate of fire.

At 10m range, if you land every single bullet you fire it takes 0.21 seconds to kill someone with the F2000, however it takes a shocking 0.22 seconds with an M16.


It only takes 0.20 seconds with the AEK, but dont tell anyone or they might start whining about that instead.
 
not sure if the f2000/inrv is the murderer that it looks like or not but certainly doesnt help when everyone rushes to use the same combo because they think (correctly or incorrectly) that it is better than everything else - you end up getting people who every time you die notice the other guy has that rifle/scope

was the same with m60 medics on BC2, after a while you get killed so many times by the same kit that you start to suspect its overpowered rather than that you were just unlucky and / or rubbish :)
 
The Assault class weapons are all a bit too similar if anything, the exception being the AN-94... which hit every branch of the underperforming tree on the way down.
