If you see me on Smogsys server again feel free to give me a shout, I'd like to try that again. Ive started playing Recon a bit more without scopes, so it would be good to get the most out of the gadgets.

I don't have a microphone, but always willing to join in some teamplay.

So after a complete & utter FUBAR by our old host :mad: , we've got a new server as of today:

Running as close as possible to the popular original, apart from the 1 player start:

Why does it always say " you were disconnected form EA online " when i leave one server and try to join another??
Always get the the BF 3 exe stopped working when i first try to join a server but this new addition is very annoying indeed.

They intended to nerf certain things but ended up nerfing the game, well done indeed.

Finding when i join most servers post patch that one team is dominating a hell of a lot more. Leave and try another one and the same result.

Finally found a game right at the start, get in a good squad, dominate and then i have to manually close the game as it has crashed.

Might be leaving this alone until DICE undo the mess they have caused with this abomination of patch.

First time I've been abused in a BF3 game directly \o/ By a TFU member no less, no medal unlock though :/ But no, just messing. And at that member sorry if you got a little upset with my Anti Air gunning, was just trying to have some fun... not really sure what you expect I should be doing in an Anti Air vehicle though!

Ah i get you, sorry man think it was just a mistake in the config. We have to set up differrent profiles each night for different settings, matches etc.
 
almost at the end

Well on Tuesday I had brought the exits down to 39% from 80% (all freezes)
now with the new patch I cant play more than 90 secs of a game without it freezing, it cant be my computer because it was OK on Tuesday. Not sure what to do now uninstall completely and forget it or wait a couple of months and try again.:(
 
meh not played since skyrim came out and now everyone seems to have everythng and the game feels impossible :(

was in a jet earlier with no decent unlocks and couldnt do anything at all :(

Well the thing is i think the recoil on the scar was higher, the key to my kills was really the timing of the hold breath and then unleash on them. I never found myself getting killed by other scar users massively, only f2000's which to me indicates that for whatever reason the scar wasnt as popular an option - presumably because of the recoil/class and that the f2000 was better? Otherwise everyone would have been running scars- but they werent they all run f2000...

No they don't.
If you're flying they don't seem to recharge quick enough!

Everyone and their mate seems to be trying to acquire a lock on me all the time, I spend half the time trying to avoid the lock-on.

Jets in CQ are only really effective against other aircraft, the ground attack options really aren't reliable or powerful enough to really worry ground troops. So more of the time you really don't have to worry about taking them down with stingers. The mobile AA rapes jets enough as it is.

Couldn't agree more. Been on so many server where there is a combination of Jets, Helis, Infantry, AA and Mobile AA + Tanks all locking on to me. In reality my job as a pilot is to block Jets and Helis from attacking our Heli/Infantry and Jets. It's fun to have a go at tanks but 90% of the time I have to worry about all of the above and tend to focus on other Jets/Helis.
 
Operation Firestorm is now a aircraft only map, you own the sky, you own the map.
Been on it twice since patch, for a total of about 3 mins i reckon, got in a tank twice, got taken out from the air twice.
Previous visits pre-patch, taken out from the air ZERO times.
Wonder whats different??

What a load of tosh, sounds like a crap team to me. Operation Firestorm is a great map for infantry and vehicles alike. Helos take a few more shots to kill but they still go down, besides how often do helos take flags without getting shelled/rpged?

Recoil on it is unholy on it though.
