The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Posted this in Mods & Tweaks but not reply so..
I'm getting serious flickering in a perfect rectangle on the top right hand corner of my screen, I can see my desktop between the flickering like I've got an active program running in the background. I've turned V-sync off in the config but it hasn't helped. Any ideas? I can't move past it to enjoy it lol.

Going to go through the main questline now as i got a little distracted and i think it kind of ruins the game a bit. Just done the quest to retrieve the Elder Scroll from Blackreach, absolutely epic. It was the first Dwemer ruin i had been in as well. Took me hours to navigate my way through. Blackreach is amazing too.

I found a dragon near Mistwatch tower, so decided to run back to the nearest village and get the local Stormcloaks to fight it. Problem was, my dopey companion decided to take it on solo, so I had to hang around until she was unconcious, then taunt the blood dragon to the village.... Until a second one suddenly appeared and roasted my chestnuts. :(

Some people have said different things about mana regen whilst in combat, can anyone please clarify what the truth is on this subject as I've crafted all my gear and want to enchant everything but I'm not sure weather to put +mana or + mana regen on my items.

The way I see it, if mana regens really slow whilst in combat and +mana regen enchants dont increase that speed then they're pointless and you might as well put + mana on your items instead so that you have a bigger manner pool to cast spells from.

If someone could clear this up once and for all it would be much appreciated :D

Does the Dark Brotherhood quests impact any other quests? I've killed a number of named NPCs, and at least one of them gave me a quest earlier in the game...just wondering if its a bad idea to join them so early on!?

Can you spot him?

^^ The main problem is that mana only regens when you are not casting/holding down cast button so it depends on your style. You would probably be best enchanting your gear with fortify destruction instead of mana/mana regen.

Lots of nice screenshots with this game, but I have been wondering.....what is the actual combat gameplay like?

Ive seen some youtube vids, visually it seems like a 1st person Diablo 2 - but not having played it, I cant be sure.

Is there any strategy to the combat? Or is it quite spammy? Im having trouble figuring it out.

attempt #2

There are games that have better melee combat (namely Dark Messiah) but Skyrim still requires skill and technique. Depends on which character you choose too. Do yourself a favour and buy it :)

I actually think that sword and shield combat is very good tbh. not so much dual-wielding, as you leave yourself too open but i suppose that is how it is balanced.
