***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

My mate who has one is very impressed with the battery life. Says he gets nearly 2 days out of it.
I'm happy enough with the battery but I reckon that 2 day is a bit optimistic.

I've been using mine fairly heavily the last couple of days though cause it's still got novelty value. :)

Lithium Ion batteries prefer to not be ran down (cycled), so yes, charge it whenever you can!
Same applies for your laptop, though ofc the best way to prolong a laptop battery is to remove it with 40% charge and attach when needed.

So I have posted on XDA Dev forums and Android forums about my GPS issue, hopefully I head back, maybe I am doing something wrong but I doubt it...........

Im on Orange 18 month contract and paid £150 for the phone but thats because Im on a £33 a month contract and Orange then went and knocked 10% off a month on my contract.

I would be happy with a 10% discount on my tariff, I am hoping with my £45 contract that they will do a better price on the handset :(

Under the following menu:

Settings > Sounds >

Under "System" you'll see Touch sounds and Screen lock sounds. I imagine the "Touch sounds" settings are supposed to enable sound feed back when navigating the device but I don't seem to get any sound feed back. Also the screen lock sound doesn't seem to work.

Can anyone confirm the same behaviour?

Screen lock sounds makes sound for me when it is NOT ticked..........

Touch sounds works for me. I am running that volume + app so I can hear it but it still isn't loud, maybe it is just VERY quiet?

Just installed AudioManager and the system volume was set to 2/7, all the volume sliders in the Android menu were set to full... so basically, this volume was set way to low.

So did that let you fix it then?

I had installed volume+ but it keeps telling me it has stopped working. :(

For me the battery life in general is really good. I get easily over a day with average usage. Actual screen time is not as good as the GS2 though, which is understandable considering the increase in size and resolution. I get around 4 hrs screen time just browsing the web over 3g, whereas on my GS2 I managed 5-6 hrs. But overall I would say battery is better than GS2.

I regret sending back my o2 one now...!
Going to order another one tomorrow, though I may end up waiting until Saturday to order as I'll be home to accept it next week.
Will go for the same deal I did last, £179.99, £21.50*1 then £15.50*8 then £10.50*15, the latter paid off in one go.
I think I'll try and save up over the next 12 months for whatever phone I may want then, and buy it outright, though as can be seen here, doing that is more expensive ;) :(

I got mine from P4U, if you go there I think you will get the phone for nothing or at least for a small sum.

Anybody know whether T-Mobile will be getting this anytime soon? Wouldn't mind upgrading to this but don't want to lose my flext plan.

Well if T mobile get this in soon, no more nokia lumia for me.

I would check if Chitter Chatter have the nexus. I kept my half price flext tariff when I upgrade with them. Benefit is you get an unlocked phone and free gifts like a jabra arrow bt headset.
