I think i'll rename my router to freak the neighbours

The nice thing about Virgin's new router is that it gives you two additional guest SSID's

All three of mine point out my neighbours liking for animal abuse and his address,
and the fact that he doesn't use the internet is even nicer.

When I have some time I'll rig up my Yagi's and the spare AP's to broadcast his details to the rest of the village, I reckon I can reach everyone around him for at least 300 metres.

People think it's an open zone and try to connect to find it won't work with there login :D

Now hold on now, lets everyone remember that an SSID has a maximum length of 32 and is alphanumeric characters only. Some of these are gettin pretty none-IEEE standard!

Amatures!

lol reminds me at old trafford last night, messing around with wifi on phone and saw 2 interesting wifi names.

The Great Communist Party of China

&

The downfall of it all

so it got me a thinking of what name I could use, some good suggestions in this thread! :p

Presumably that was the most exciting form of entertainment available that night

i know for a fact everyone here is speaking BS about most of these names as there are programs out that let you trace where a router is.

like that hot and cold game children play :P the stronger the signal is the closer you are to it , you dont need to be connected to the router either.

if you were hardware savvy you would have your router as invisible so it doesnt show up on a list of networks and the only way to connect to it is if you know the ssid

If you're "hardware savvy" then you'd know you can still find hidden SSID's, it just takes a little bit of work.
