*** The Elder Scrolls 5 - Skyrim Official Thread ***

Hi guys, can anyone give me some advice on how I'm doing? I work full-time so don't get much time to play this. I'm level 11 and here is how I'm playing.

I'm using a 2 hander and magic. Basically if I'm fighting a mage, I'll bring them close and then use my 2 hander to destroy them. If I am fighting a melee opponent I kite them and use my fire spell.

I think I might need some new spells? All I'm using at the moment is healing and flames, is that right?

I have 5619 gold and change outfits dependent on if I'm using a 2hander or spells. The gear I'm currently using is Necromancer Robes (magicka regen of 75%) and scaled armor if 2handed (36 armor, 6 weight)

I have ring of destruction which means destruction spells cost 15% less to cast. My current weapon of choice is Dwarven warhammer which does 37 damage.

I'm only doing the main quest line so far and I'm up to 'A Cornered Rat'.

Also, I've kept on to all of my Dragon's Bones and Scales, is this a wise thing to do?

My two handed skill is 44 and my destruction is 35. I've put most of my perks in two handed, destruction and smithing?

Also, do the traders ever get rich again? They seem to be out of money after selling stuff to them.

Well, I caved in and bought it yesterday after rushing around 4 supermarkets whilst my GF made tea at home :p

Decided to go Dark Elf as I never bother with magic and thought I'd give it a go, whilst still wanting to have some good stealth skills - love lock picking and thieves guild.

Only about an hour in but enjoying it so far. Graphics still look OK on 360 which is nice, and it's a different experiencing lounging in front of the 42" hd tv instead of the PC screen :)

The intro sequence felt very COD :S
 
I started a new game as an Orc. Very satisfying smashing people with the warhammer! You don't get those finishing animations with spells.

This is only my second one. My mage is at level 22 or something but encountered a bug in a quest which means I can't carry on with that quest. So I felt a bit disheartened and thought I'd try another character. :D

Your spells/weapons and armour will get better as you progress :) I felt pretty weak early on in the game, but now i am level 32 with a full set of legendary daedric armour and a legendary daedric greatsword. My companion has the same sword and a legendary ebony bow along with a full set of legendary dragon plate armour.

Hold on to the dragon scales/bones as you will use them later on.

The shopkeeper should replenish their gold after 48 hours.

Try doing some of the side quests as the loot you get from them is pretty awesome plus your levels will shoot up.

lmao Im not the only one then, I have done a few shots from long rang in bandit camps and when I go back to the bodies and see that I got a few right between the eyes, I see myself doing the same airpunch lol, very statisfying :D
 
Hopefully they fix the quest I'm stuck on. Reading through the Bethesda forums though, there are tons of people with problems in all kinds of quests. I suppose there are just too many variables to prevent this stuff happening. God knows how they're going to sort it all out.

Wish I had that luxury, with a women and a kid , I would need to clear away to a log cabin in the wilderness,on my own, stock on provions and not move for a week and just play the death out of this lol
 
I only share a house with my sister and a 2 year old old that sleeps most of the time. I just wasn't tired until I fell asleep on the sofa, controller in hand and headphones on. Not a comfortable way to sleep.
 
Haha, first time round i accidentally killed lydia with unrelenting force and a high building.

Reloaded, and went on my merry way, ran into some giants one pwned lydia who went flying about 3 miles into the air and somewhere over the gulf of persia.

after dispatching the giants, i used their camp and when i awoke lydia was by my side.

on another note, im going away until mid next week, i don't think i can cope without skyrim :S
