I wasn't that impressed by him, maybe he just doesn't suit my style of play, Menez is 800 coins (shiny) and he is 10 times the player for my style (5 star skills, 86 pace, 5 star weak foot too i think).

no game breaking would be when you come up against a full bronze/silver team, and your 3 million coin Messi can't even control the ball, never mind pass or shoot.

Play that way against me and I predict a lot of lobbed through balls going over your collection of defenders who've gathered on the halfway line.

Ultimate Team isn't about getting or having all the best players, the only thing that makes it boring for me is the easy games.
Robert on the other hand doesn't enter tournies therefore comes up against noobs all the time in single matches, because they can't win tournies.
I'm content with using guys like Menez in my team, which play far better than any Iniesta or Xavi in my style of play.

I still lol at that guy who said that it's pointless building full club sides in UT. His argument was you are meant to build the best mix of players and that building club sides is boring and not the way EA intended you to play. Personally I think you should play it how you want to. I've had hybrid teams, national sides and club teams and they're all equally as fun to use when the crippling lag or handicapping isn't around.
I hope not, he's been immense whenever I've played against him. Then again Hart was the same and he was gash for me.

ive played UT for 3 seasons now, and this is the first time ive used cash, because i sold my coins to Robert last year which i made from playing. so i thought why not re-invest some of the profit i made.
it's got me off to a flying start. after new year, means zero cash injections, hopefully sell up at some point too, probably turning another profit.
buying packs though is like putting on the lottery, you can buy £20 worth and the best player you get be worth 2K, it is a joke how some people can buy 1 pack and pull off 3 players worth 100K+ each.

theres not much money to be made from making them IF's, scottish teams are hardly popular, ive yet to come up against a single one.

That's because the league has virtually no good players. By the way how come the Turkish league isn't in the game this year? That had some real bargains in it, I remember using IF Quaresma last year and he was brilliant.

if you like changing teams often, just keep 3/4 teams, thats what im doing.
i built a ligue 1 team, then upgraded it to the max possible (cheapest league imo for a very good squad)
i then built a brazil team and have upgraded that to the maximum apart from Silva and Maicon. (will get when their price comes down a lot).
im then started serie A but their good players are so expensive, i sold them and built an EPL team.
so now i have 3 squads to choose from, so long as your not going for every expensive player in expensive leagues, you should easily be able to keep 2/3 teams.

This is where you point to Scotland's AMAZING national team, or their exemplary record in Europe where their club sides consistently make it to the latter stages of competitions. The Scottish sides would struggle against most Championship teams, so come off it.
Oh my god, i just started this UT stuff, managed to get a full German squad together bronze, get to the final in my first tournament, then for some stupid wig out moment, i accidently forfeited the game, my brain completely wigged out! Argh!
So retarded, can someone help me out also, since i'm new to this UT thing, once i've won the a bronze tournament what do i do? Is the aim of the game to get the best gold team?
