I'm pretty sure that's the way it always was... I don't remember getting taken out with one stinger before the patch, not unless I was already damaged.

Hmmm. Maybe i was wrong. Im sure i heard about a stinger nerf. Maybe someone else can confirm.

Keeping it interesting My initial goal with BF3 is to get all ribbons (only M-COM defender left. Further goal is to get all medals (M-COM ones will be the hardest, stationary weapons the most boring). I'd also like to get all the Dogtags and thats why all guns get used up to 500 kills. I won't cheat or use exploits to get me there either.


I got all pins and badges and stuff in BC2 (even the Mines) and I enjoyed the journey and getting experience of different roles so thought that even though the task is much harder with BF3 it'll keep me occupied for a while. I don't care much about KD.

I got everything in BC2, but it took a while and some were a real chore. I'm trying not to think about medals in BF3, more concerned about unlocking all the weapons and the like.
 
Is it me or have they patched the in game Mobile AA!?

In the jet I used to fly to high alt (700-800) switch to rocket pods and disable the AA, then use my machine gun to destroy the target.

Now it does sweet **** all :( , I just get the Disabled Vehicle!

Yeah they're supposed to have reduced the damage of them, but I'm not sure how that affects it. Like I said, I'm sure it was always 2 hits to disable.

The stinger was one-hit-disable against the littlebirds, if that's what you're thinking of. Maybe that's what they've nerfed.

It was nerfed a bit on damage, used to disable in one hit apart from the Havoc helicopter that got took down to 55, now all of them get taken down to 55.

That's for choppers though, I always seemed to disable a jet when I hit it once, might have been damaged though and I wouldn't know as I don't fly jets.
 
just had a go on smogsys server and thoroughly owned

admittedly i suck pretty bad ( tbh dunno why i keep playing fps) and dont play much (only lvl 9)

are the flashlights going to be addressed? keep losing in gunfights dude to blinding in broad daylight
 
I think you should be able to unlock sunglasses. I think that would help a lot :P

What annoys me more, is if someone else on my team has the tactical light on and then proceeds to blind me as they look around.
 
Played on Smogsy's earlier and had a bit of fun, stole some tags and blew someone up, just how I like it :D

 
DO guys prefer to play lots of players or few?

For some reason when servers are more empty

8v8 6v6 10v10 12v12 I seem to do well

but when its like 25v25 or 20c20 or 32v32 I seem to do crap?

Why? lol

I notice same on COD. I play 4v4 6v6 etc..I get gpod scores but 12v12+ I suck.

Thing I also like about low players is its more intimate. You get to know all your teammates and personal battles with the enemies.
 
running the game on a 560ti and an i5 2500k shouldnt have any issues but i do
Just google bf3 lag and theres a whole bunch of stuff, the game is literally unplayable for me, i lagg all the time and it stutters everywhere! Now is there a fix or has someone else had this issue? Just me?
 
WHen you die do your planted mines dissapear?

I know planted C4 dissapers.

What if you plant 3 mines then die then respwan and plant more mines? your old mines dissapear?

How many mines can you plant? If you plant all your mines then resupply at ammo box and plant new mines do your old ones vanish?
