Someone said earlier it could have done with extra 3-4 months in development - yes, yes it could! Hell I'd happily give it back to EA/DICE now and not play it for another year if it meant they could bring out a proper, finished BF game. I cant see that there is much point competing with Activision/COD if they are just going to kill the BF franchise a little bit more each time.

agree with that, and I have played it a lot (140hrs according to my records :o). I would say as far as BF games are concerned its a step back since BF 2142 and BF2. It could be beter...and I think the following would make it a lot beter...

1. In game VOIP for sqds
2. Proper squad leader and spawn on squad leader only (currently sqd leadr is useless). This would make it more sqd/team biast instead of having individuals running about in their own little worlds. The ammount of times I have been playing and think Im getting backed up by sqd mates...only to die and see them scattered all around the map....
3. Commander
4. Bigger maps.....bit these might be coming. B2K pack..hopefully

When you join a random server, there is absolutely no team feel about it. Its like COD...you against the world. After playing about 400 rounds...there is still no team feel ever. In BF2 and 2142 you could join a randm server, join a sqd, spwan on the sqd leader (as thats the only option you had...or a flag) whereever he was and help him by attacking or defending the point. This created teamplay. In BF3, join squad...find 3 sqd mates all on different flags...join whatever one you fancy. Doesnt make it a team game.

I also find the controls and feeling of it kinda clunky. Its hard to switch weapons quickly...I cant get used to the order of scrolling through things for some reason...was fine in all previous BF games. The system feels messed up a bit to me.

Ive pretty much started playing 32 man infantry only...and I find far beter battles on these servers...as the patch pretty much screwed up my quest for hunting tanks unless you getting backed up by another 3 enginee's :( They always win now!

It does it with a dedicated card, i bought a xonar DX a few months after my spec in sig, afterburner and pb gave me the brrrrrrr in bc2, renamed rtcore.cfg in afterburner, bc2 and bf3 dont give me that any more, just the bf3 has stopped responding, ive put my cpu down to 4.0ghz, tested stable, stock gpu's, ive even tried a totally stock system. Still the same.

It's these sort of childish comments that make people on here laugh.

There is being banterous but constant childish whining and bickering about stealing players here and server names there is just pathetic. It's a ruddy online game for gods sake not American/Russian politcal relationships!

Get over it and get on with enjoying the game. For the record, I love Smogsys server and have played on it and with Smogsy many days since I got the game after release. There is no weird empire, just good old fun on mumble and the server in squads giving me the best online gaming since the good old Fr4gZ server community on CSS about 7yrs ago.
 
I know i enjoy the smogy server, no base raping, a good crowd.. i just dont get all the tfu beef at all. The advertising for them is pretty bad given the feedback on here...

But anyway, is anyone online for a game? im off work today but the usual servers are empty:/
 
Good fun over the weekend on Smogsy's!

Lots of fun to be had, Cant stand a busy/loud mumble though :( Cant concentrate with it which is annoying as I love the server and the people....you all just talk to much/to loudly for me :P

I agree about the jets at level 0! its pointless! I can fly well, untill I have to shoot something grrrrr

It's purely circumstantial.. Server settings and effective administration can only make it good to an extent. You have good games and you have bad games, just because one team is getting buttraped doesn't mean the server is a pile of crap!

Give the brown nosing a rest.. Smogsy this smogsy that, do you wanna jump off his pelvis any time soon? You act as if the poor socially deprived boy has saved lives! All he's done is advertise his server on here.. Same as anyone else.. What makes him different from the thousands of other server owners? Don't praise the man like he's a god just play the bloody game!

wow chill out, the reason smogsys is enjoyable is because it is almost always a close game because good/intelligent people play there, you get team work and people help each other rather than ramboing.

Plus the good admining etc, calm down dear, its just a game.

If you find a good server let me know and ill join you. All of them are dead.
 
I am surprised it took this long to come to a head. TFU were a disability on the CSS community(be it a minor one), much like what TEC are now a days.

At the end of the day it's your server, you can do what you want on it. But you don't own the peoples' opinions much to your dismay :p.

I can't see any brown nosing?

All I see is people rating Smogsy's server for the good game play and people complaining about the TFU server admins.. who then post comments like the above on here? Not slating TFU at all, I don't understand why if people have beef with them or their servers they don't post it on their forums rather than here?

All a bit tiresome really, seems to be going round in circles...

I've had a few good games on Smogsy's server (did you enjoy that shot last night Smogsy? Don't try and run me over :p) but I've also had many good games on other servers too.
