One man doesn't have all the red tape that a large company does, nor does one man have the risk of ruining the company's reputation if it messes the phone up.

The fix has been around for days now.

As said it will be all the red tape and paperwork etc... that will be holding back Google/Samsung.

It's easy for me to be blazé about it though as I'm unaffected.

I get what you are saying robbo, but choice is always nice. Though I am using google music, so I'm happy with 16gb

I agree, it's a bit silly there is no SD card slot or 32/64GB options.

It depends entirely on the person that's using the phone, for some people it's acceptable and for others it isn't, it's certainly a touch on the low side.

You can't really argue in favour of it (because let's face it, it should have one) but you can't argue against it based on how other people use their phone; everyone is different.

I think if people are truly honest with themselves with what they actually use on a regular basis, that 16gb is more than enough for 90% of people.

Anyway:
It doesn't support it without a third party push service.
To clarify: that's not a limitation of the GN, it's for everything. POP/IMAP are pull services. Things like Exchange, Zimbra & GoogleMail will do push.
As someone mentioned, get your Google Account to pull from your POP/IMAP accounts and set the 'send as' feature: job done.:)

i hear what your saying and trust me i understand the red tape with my job :D

but we needed more from them. i know when stuff happens in my team we do the following!

- more updates, not leaked, but statements
- a sorry, and hands in the air approach
- a progress report and ETA
- your whole team working night and day, pulling in extra help from different departments, contractors (involving the community devs)

just a little disappointed by the whole afair, very much more so after experiencing the bug for the whole weekend on the outskirts of london...... grrrrrrrrr

A neat little addition I found this weekend..

First off I like the way that you can create folders with apps inside (I know this has been available for ages through 3rd party apps, but Google's interpretation is the most fluid I've found).

Anyways, you can add these to your launcher tray. Tidies up my desktop quite a bit!

mixed news, i left my SGS2 so i could have pure android and not have to root or rom anymore, frigging sods law! if i want the fix to the issue i need a custom rom!

very peeded off

Aye, but like with all things Android - if you want it quick, you gotta root.

Google/Samsung have not dealt with this at all well - I agree with you that they should have been much more open about it.

Apparently some people simply *must* put all 100GB of their music on a phone otherwise it's no good...

Or maybe they also want to actually make use of the ability to record 1080p video and watch 720p movies on the go. Or they want to make use of large apps. Particularly games, an increasing number of which are coming in at well over 1GB now. As well as store a decent amount of music.

13GB of storage space is hardly anything for me.
