Best Buy closing down sale starts tonight @ Midnight

 Used these for our fridge, washer, drier and my Onkyo 609 AVR.

Really good deals on them all (£399 for the Onkyo at launch - that was £100 less than anywhere!).

Gutted to see them close.

Anyone else having problems buying anything?

I keep getting the message "We’re extremely sorry but we are unable to process your order at this time. Please click Exit Checkout and try again after 24 hours."

Well sadly the stores had no Sonos gear for sale as it has all been returned. had hoped to pick up a couple of Play:3s but the fella in front of me got the 2 ex-display models. Not the end of the world though as I came away with a ZP90, a ZP120 and 2 Q Acoustic bookshelf speakers for £570. They are a little grimey but should be I good order. Think I got an ok deal?

Been getting the same error since 5 past 12 last night. Tried with 2 different mastercards and a visa debit. Spoke to the card issuers who advise that they have authorised the payment each time. Spoke to BestBuy who advised it was because I was using a different delivery address to the billing address, but guess what I changed it to be delivered to my billing address and it still failed.

How much for each individually?

Play 3s are £210 at HMV, well they are at the one near I work

Same here, I just checked and the payment has been authorised 3 times despite the error. Not good. Just called them and they can't find any records so they're going to get back to me.

I never knew t started so early else I'd have nipped down in the morning. I'll be nipping down after work though to see what they have...Last time I was in there their stock wasn't really that amazing apart from the TV range. The other areas of my interest (audio, PC and gadgets) weren't really that up to scratch.

Maybe grab a bargain for eBay though :p

It will all be tat by the time you get there. :p

Some places are not worth trying so nothing gained by not knowing.

Knowing is always better than not knowing!

Anyway, a workmate just got back from his long lunch, he went into the store and said the deals in store were not that great, they stuck to the web prices. Most things he's found online cheaper but stuff like home appliances seem to be good at 25% off.

I'm tempted to go and get the Dyson DC25 at £149 as we need a new vacuum cleaner after I accidentally broke the old one while tackling some debris in my car ;o

It is relevant because there might be something that is priced well with discount so you can benefit from it, in this case a vacuum isn't essential as this one still works, just has a broken brush, but at £50 cheaper than online the Dyson seems a good deal.

The only thing I lose out on going and not buying anything is a bit of petrol, and that doesn't bother me.

I worked closely with BB since the very start - their HQ was based 30 feet from my desk.

Such a shame to see it all built from scratch, to fall down again.

Would be rude not to buy a cheap Mac Book though... :D

I got the ZP90 (Sonos Connect) for £201 after discount, the ZP120 (Control: Amp) for £287 after discount and the Q Acoustics 2010 Bookshelf speakers for£79 after discount.

Total discount seems to be about £220. Have set the 120 up in the dining room with the Q Acoustics and the 90 is going in the spare room which I use as a gym. Going to hook it up to my old Technics hi-fi.

I went in hoping to get 2 Play 3s which I think would have been about £400 but were intended for one room (dining room) but came out with gear for two rooms, granted for a fair bit more.

That's 4 rooms now. The Sonos bug spreads...

Finally managed to successfully order the Onkyo HT3405 for £200 - very please because Ive been eyeing it up at £250 for the past 3 or 4 months.
