GTX 560Ti 448 benchmarks

^
Or:

It's basically a 570 chip that didn't pass testing that's had cores disabled with lower clocks and cores for the same money! You couldn't make it up.

Yep, the ultimate rip off @£252 for the MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti "448 Core" Twin Frozr III Power Edition 1280MB

When you can get the likes of the DirectCU II and the WINDFORCE 3X which as we all know are full fat 570's for £7 more!

At least there was a £50-£70 saving with the unlocked 6950's, that made it a very worthwhile bargain!

theres no point in buying any graphics card at the moment, not with ATI close to releasing there next range, unless nvidia cuts the gtx580 to £299 anytime soon

Dont understand Nvidia at all. Amd are due their new cards which will equal or better this crippled 570, sorry 560Ti and for less money, probably, I dont get it!

 Well thats thrown a spanner in my works at "well over" £200 a piece am seriously thinking twice, guess we will get a clearer picture when the major players break cover on pricing in a bit.

I can understand companies have to make money and the dollar to pound/vat and the like but this still seems like price gouging on an unpleasant scale.
Am now going to have to sit and rethink all my options for wc now i really do have a headache:confused::mad::rolleyes::(:(

Am not that familiar with ati offerings in comparison when crunching/folding have a good mind to teach that HooFlungDung chappy a lesson and go red, i practically paid for the gold plated rail around his swimming pool damnit :D

priced at above £250 for MSI version and ~£245 for gigabyte - from one of uk etailers

Could be an e-tailer trying to get an early profit from over eager people. It simply can't be £250. It just wouldn't be worth it.

According to something I have read it has a RRP of 218 euros (£187). Although that may be a tad optimistic.

Do you mean to say that the Asus and Windforce 3x 560Ti 448s are unlockable to 570s?
No I haven't seen any, it's in relation to why would you pay £252 for a 448 560ti(crippled 570) when you can pay the extra £7 for a superior full fat 570, the Asus DirectCU II 570 and the Gigabyte 570 WINDFORCE 3X cost £259.

It was saving you at least £50 getting a 6950 and unlocking it to a 6970 11 months ago!

Just saw it on OC's store at £239, it's still a rip off when £20 extra gets you a full fat 570!

Risking a bios flash for the sake of £20 is also a very stupid thing to do!

Pure fail imo, Nvidia are taking the **** out of it's customers, considering the new cards are just around the corner!

Agree with everything you said. This 560 Ti 448 is a ****-take.

Right, so looking at that review, the 448 core 560 gives 14% better performance than the old 560, on average. For that to be reflected in price this new 448 needs to be £171, considering that you can get a quality 560 Ti 384 for £150...

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/foru...a-geforce-gtx-560-ti-448-cores-review-13.html

But it's on sale for £240? No thanks...

What's the point in buying this card when you can get a proper 570 for a few quid more, and when you consider that this version is on a limited run of 10,000, which means it will be very difficult to get a second hand one down the road if you're thinking of going SLI? (Also bear in mind that this isn't SLI'able with either the 560Ti 384 or the 570).
