Amen to that, some machine gun barrels become so hot they glow and will burn straight through to the bone if touched. Heard some horror stories from my army mates.
it should come up fine that how every one else finds it fine.
it might been me updating it at the time /rebooting it ready for increased players.

Ive tried using a 360 pad for flying a jet..less said the better
Im very good at flying a jet with a 360 pad, its the final aiming and killing that i mess up on!

Just tried to play, 5 crashes in a row, all within 1min of playing
The next patch can't come soon enough!!!!!!

Try these controls it has helped me:
W- Pitch up
A- Roll Left
S- Pitch Down
D- Roll Right
Mouse Left - Yaw Left
Mouse Right - Yaw Right
Mouse Up - Pitch up
Mouse Down -Pitch Down
Put what ever you want for :Throttle down/up
Mouse + keyboard is the way forward. I stubbornly tried to stick it out with my joystick but you just can't aim with that thing.

Can actually stay in the air and kill things with a 360 pad, but then i have been using a 360 pad for 6 years
I did ask if there were things to check a few pages back but to no avail.
The game worked fine pre-patch, a few crashes here and there but nothing major. Since the patch I can't play for longer than 2mins.
I tried doing the manual PB update and checking for new gfx drivers.
Ever thought that I'm also getting crashes sometimes within 1 round sometimes within hours and it's been ever since this latest patch..
There are HUNDREDS of page replies about this exact same issue on the battlelog forums, one or two people yep it's there system but hundreds of replies no
This what leads me to think it's not me (the pc), pre-patch it was almost fine, post patch = unplayable. I've seen people with i7's and ridiculously expensive machines having the same troubles as me
see i very rarely crash, maybe after 3+ hours of gaming straight. post and pre patch
Only time I seem to crash is if I minimise the game at some point. If I do that, then there seems to be a random chance that I'll get a bf3.exe has stopped responding at some point. If I don't minimise, then it's totally stable for me.
Although I can't remember getting any bf3.exe stopped responding since the patch. So not sure if it fixed that for me or just been lucky.
