word of warning check the pins in the socket carefully before you start, also remeber to have a camcorder handy from the second the courier arives witht the motherboard to when you open the socket to insert the cpu ;)

at least that way if there is any bent pins the rude guy who called me a liar wouldn't be able to do that to you, plus ocuk wouldn't be able to deny the rma due to bent pins. with out the video they'll say you did it, tho I'm sure they'll try to wriggle out of it and claim you damaged it before/after the camcorder was turned off.

yes I'm bitter, you would be too if you'd spent £200+ on the motherboard to find it doesn't do what its ment to and then be called a liar by the cs guy on the phone. have got the rma from asrock, just need to pack it up and post it. going to cost me £30-£40 for the delivery to(and from) the netherlands, which is ontop of the £35 I lost on the rejected rma from ocuk(delivery charges+ their test fee).

That's terrible, I have just purchsed a extreme7 mobo but wont be using it till ivy bridge. Means I'm going to have the board for a few months before using it and if I find any bent pins (not damaged by me) then I will demand either a new replacement or refund and I can assure you ocuk or Asrock would not get away with it. I'd kick up such a stink including court action and would refuse to pay a single penny.

OCUK would i'm afarid have to prove I damaged the board.
Did you try consumer advise? Law centre? CAB? small claimes court? because i'd drag them through the lot.

why would you buy a board now for a chip thats 4 months away at best?

there may be either way better boards come out or your board may drop in price...my money is on the latter
