**The Official Nokia Lumia 800 Thread***

I will help you decide ;)
if you need full gmail sync(contacts, calendar etc) - forget about WM7 ; if you have hotmail its perfect

if you download big'ish files - you will have to switch to WiFi like on iPhone.

I would keep it if I would not rely so much on gmail...and got annoyed by trying to download game from market and was told to switch to wifi...

but on top of that - t mobile cut down my internet speeds ...got pished on them so cancel my upgrade...now going for Nexus hopefully soon...need to flog desire hd first...

Thanks for that input mate, i only really use google mail, and just input reminders in to my calender.

I'll have a good play around at westfield and see then :)

so you should be fine :) you can set intervals on which email will be checked . push is on exchange and live/hotmail

WM is really a nice system...love the transitions on it and how everything is integrated.(love engadget app :) )

The google services have push as well.

I knew this would happen one day; I've already bent the flimsy micro USB flap. I forgot to put it back and stuck the phone in my pocket. Next thing you know when I take it out, it bent in half. Got annoyed so just snapped it off!

Spoke to the Nokia rep today who gave me my phone and he said a good few others he gave handsets to also complained to Nokia about the battery life. I know updates are coming soon but to be honest, I'm getting a good day to day and a half usage with lots turned up, which is good enough for me as I'm charging it overnight anyways.

There is most definitely an update coming :)

Those usb caps are pretty good (as long as you remember to close them) lol.

T-mobile limits HSDPA to 1.8mbps on all it's internal plans as far as I'm aware, even if you upgrade the bandwidth.

Sorry to keep on spamming with offtopic stuff - I did believe that T Mob were capped to 1.8 mbps, but I just got this ...

Yay :p

It seems to staying in the 1.4 - 2+ mbps range

Pleaded read my earlier posts...push for gmail doesn't work on wm7.
Unless there is a way but I couldn't find it...

Works fine for me, I have 2 Gmail accounts set to download as new items arrive and the emails arrive on the phone straight away.

doesnt work for me,
I know there is a problem if you have too much data on gmail - like b'days, notes on contacts etc.

anyhow..did not work for me.

Well that was a surprise, 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500mb internet for £20.54 per month, £87 for the phone ANNNDDD a free Xbox :D.

Never again will i do a 24 month contract, i'm to much of a geek to hold onto a phone for that time! I always end up selling my phone to pay off the rest of the contract and take out a new contract! ha i've yet to go through an upgrade.

Well I've had my HTC Hero for 24 months and it's served me well, I am a bit of a gadget freak but I think I like knowing I've got a good deal more as I can live with tech as long as it's fast, which my hero isn't anymore :D.

phones4u

any one has a problem with sync gmail with windows mobile ?? I have : attention required...

I had this problem with my lumia from Phones 4U as well, it appears to be when you select Gmail in the list when adding your account if you add your Gmail details under pop3/imap it works perfectly.

Hope it helps =D

Lol was the hero ever fast? Never had one myself but people always say how underpowered it was.
