8am - 6pm they say, i waited in all day, only to find mine was still in the depot and had to collect the next day. im sure that was a one off !

Ah ok, so could be as late as 6pm then? Plenty of time yet then :)
Will have to nip into town for a new sim card if it turns up. Damn apple micro sims!

IvanDobskey, I think that's a universal out for delivery message. I'd imagine some drivers will deliver just a single van load on an entire day, whereas some may go back to depot to refill, though I'd imagine it's more the former. I've no idea how the logistics of courier delivery works, all I know is it says it's out for delivery and it will (usually) arrive! :)

EDIT: Hah I thought preemptively and ordered a normal SIM with my upgrade! :p

Bah, mine is bound to turn up as late as possible, probably after the O2 store has closed, lol.
I did ask the guy to send me a sim card when I ordered the phone, but I asked again when I was chasing my order and was told i'd have to go to the O2 store.

Scrub that, it just arrived :D

One strange thing I noticed, the paperwork is all marked 'returns department'! Mine is a new order and not a return

Right, off to get a sim card :)

I have a PDF I want to send with GMAIL - but 'attach a file' just takes me to the Gallery.

Is there any way of associating an app with 'attach a file' e.g. Linda File Manager? I used to use Root Explorer, but alas, no root atm

Install a file manage app like es file explorer and then just set that as the default fil handler when you choose to attach a file.

Well, after I showed my mum, I mean err... had a look at the phones, I can conclude:
That the version is the same as that on the older ones.

One of my screens is darker than the other on minimum brightness.
Both have banding/lines at low brightness when displaying solid greys etc.
Both common traits of OLED screens and not to be worried about.

One of them has already put it self on silent, heh. Unsure as to whether or not this happened before or after I took the other out of its box...!

Yep one is definitely darker on lowest brightness, though one notch up from the bottom they both look the same. I can say that I'd not notice these 'flaws' if I only had one to look at! Of course having two allows me to pick the one I like most ;) Checking SIM lock status in that one now...awwh just noticed the plastic mould lines are more pronounced on the one I think has the better display. Damn, locked!

More from Clove:

We have had confirmation today that the updates for the Galaxy Nexus are about to begin. This will be done in batches over the air.

Yesterday we did receive information from our UK distributors that the update had already been completed on the new stock, but this was not the case.

However, this morning’s news means the update will be available very soon for new and existing customers and some customers may be prompted to install the update upon powering up their machine for the first time.

So the story changes again and it will only be an OTA for the time being.

Had a quick skim through the thread and it seems mostly positive. I can upgrade my Galaxy S as of the 2nd of December so think I might go for the Galaxy Nexus. Not related to the Galaxy Nexus but thought i'd ask anyway, o2recycle are currently offering around £135 for the Galaxy S, is this an ok price for the S and also will I have to remove the custom rom I have and put the standard one back on?
