***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

So the story changes again and it will only be an OTA for the time being.

Wow. Just how much worse could Google and Samsung have handled the launch of this phone?

They are appalling. They should tell us when we will be able to get the fix and how it works - that'd be great. So much for Android being open...

O2 did say to me that the fix would be OTA and even the new batches would come without the upgrade and its down to the user to do.

One thing i disagree with is O2 selling the handset, with Voda not shipping it O2 will be the most effected user and for that they should have withdrawn the handset from sale. IMO

So my new phone is likely to be broken for about a week, not impressed!

in certain area's yes, i have the bug having a o2 handset and voda sim. at home its fine, but when i travel around i notice it happen and when i was in london at the weekend (outskirts) i suffered the whole time and could not make or receive phone calls.

I know the title say Galaxy Ace, but it will work :) "

Thanks!
Paid...and now waiting...and it's arrived! 4 minutes from receipt of you have paid email to getting email with code, awesome! Thanks again :)

Phone decided it'd be fitting to lower my volume upon connecting to Vodafone...which means both handsets here suffer from the same issue. Not a problem, will either live with it for now, or flash Paul's kernel.

Wow output from headphone socket is night and day better than that from my SGS2, using Sennheiser CX300II in ear's

Just tried to make a call from the other one with its o2 SIM in it, unusable here, the volume drops as soon as the dialer changes to the call, and constantly forces it down. Not a problem with the unlocked one with Voda SIM, I have a Suresignal at home, and there is HSPA at work :)

Upgraded my o2, £15.50 for 24 months and £179 for phone.
Went to cancel OH's o2 as she doesn't use it anymore, was offered £26 for 12 months and £172 for the phone. I took the offer with intent on cancelling the first one, buy may just sell it on the bay. Undecided :)

Just checked my system info:

Android version 4.0.1
Baseband I9250XXKK1
Kernel version 3.0.1 -ge2433f2
Build number ITL41D

Don't think this is an updated phone either. Not seen the volume bug yet, but I get 3G in my house. Only a matter of time tomorrow at work I guess.
