Sometimes I'm ashamed to be British...

Unless you live in, or close to one of the cities that have had their quality of life seriously affected by immigration, (IE London, Birmingham, Bradford, Leicester, etc) then throwing around the racist terms for anyone who opposes immigration is the act of a self-serving, own back-patting, naive fool.

If you live in one of those areas and support mass immigration, then at least you're making an informed decision, but you're still wrong.

The irony here is that the biggest threat in terms of immigration to the UK are now whites from Eastern Europe, so any accusation of racism is pointless.

The fact is that after WW2 Britain required immigration to help bolster the depleted workforce, since then it has never truly been needed, and years of mass immigration have progressively made the country a worse place to live in in real terms ever since.

That woman made an absolute idiot of herself and raised no relevant issues, but the fact is that she is in an area that has endured a crazy amount of immigration - from an area that was at the absolute heart of the recent riots with at least 50% of those rioters being black, an area in which a bland 3 bed semi will cost as much as a palace in many other parts of the world. An area that has overcrowded schools with multiple languages spoken there at massive expense to the taxpayer. An area with insane traffic and congestion. An area that will have thousands upon thousands of recent immigrants living on benefits for life.

As for people saying the UK is a large island? Are you joking? We're an absolutely tiny country in global terms, TINY.

We are already in the top 10 most overcrowded places on earth - whilst that woman was an idiot, mass immigration has seriously harmed this country and we will be playing the legacy of it for generations to come.

It's easy to be a liberal in the provinces, well what's happening in the large cities will filter out to you all soon enough if nothing is done to stop it, by that time Great Britain will literally be a third world country - not in terms of ethnic demographic, but in terms of quality of life.

We already place near the bottom of global tables for quality of life - in 30 years time it will be a horrible place to live in, unless something is done to stop it.

Common sense says to me she's at more risk in there. And I assume they aren't intending to lock her up for the rest of her life for her own safety.

Call me weird but if a member of the public is in danger then you don't lock them up! You protect them if they need it but in their own home or an alternative non-prison location.

What she said was correct though wasn't it?

If I go to live in Africa, do I suddenly become African?

So how are foreigners who come here and get our citizenship, really British in any sense other than name?

Well, given I hail from an African country (19/29 years of my life spent there), I find it a bit suss that even though I am an immigrant and only British by way of naturalisation, I am still considered better by daft racists than a second or third generation British black or asian person.

Why should we waste taxpayers money on round the clock doorstep protection for her when they could be doing something else?

Let the keepers watch her until it is safe.

I live in London. I see people of all different colours. It's nice to see people of different colours in London. Despite what people believe, there are a lot of white people in London.

I don't have a problem with people having different skin colours. They can't really control what skin colour they have, so I don't feel there's a need to make an issue out of it.

Right so if you were under threat from someone you'd accept being thrown in prison would you?

Please, don't be silly.
