Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Im starting to hate jets, i dont consider myself a noob or the best. But other people kill me with 2 hits from a cannon :\ i see a drop from 100% to 80% then i instantly blow up. No lock ons or nothing. It takes me about 10 hits to kill a human with a jet cannon. Jet on jet combat is not my thing

Mobile AA is a pain for that, get even slightly to close and those bullets rip you to shreds, not a chance.

My game crashed last night, come to think about it i think its only ever crashed while i was in a jet which is definitely something to consider.

You should team up with me then. I love being the gunner on a tank - or a chopper. Look for RavengerOne in BF3/Origin.

Funnily enough the only times the game's crashed for me is when I'm in a jet too...

Rush is good for the role reason that its mostly infantry combat and i dont have to rely on anyone else... which is a shame

You need to get on the ukcs or ocuk mumble.

It's good playing with Ocukers but it's hard to know how good they are in a team if you're not on mumble. It's soo much easier to communicate about real time events on a map whilst actually chatting to each other.

i gave up on jets along time ago the maps are to small and everything is far to small , the ceiling limit is ridiculous aswell.

in the old bf games you could fly right up above the clouds and then properly dive bomb targets which was awesome especially in bf1942 when you got the epic screeching noise from the engine when you were doing it

The USAS doesn't need nerfing, I have very rarely come across it in matches and it requires a change of tactic to use right:

1) At close range it's a winner, but it's no worse than an RPG.

2) At point blank it will also kill the player using it.

3) At mid-range the rounds are so slow anyone with a beat on your and an assault rifle or machine gun will riddle you with holes.

4) At long range it can take out snipers but they have to be still, and it takes more volleys to kill than a sniper rifle does.

Plus it's as LOUD AS HELL.

It's mostly because it takes a bit of time and effort to unlock, same with the F2000 and IRNV scopes - people get killed a lot by what they don't have and immediately think it's giving free wallhacks and aimbots.

Some scrub sat on an ammo box doing nothing but spam 40mm grenades for an entire round is several magnitudes more annoying than any of those things, wheres the nerf calls on that? Oh right, it only takes 20 mins to unlock it.

Once the whine crew get their way with Dice and the usual suspects have been nerfed I wonder what will be next - my money is on the M240B and PKP.

it's not so much the usas as the usas with the frag rounds, if you haven't come across it that much your a lucky man.

admitably its as funny as hell when the user suicides , but most times it is just mean .

I just hate jet on jet combat since a M&KB can out turn me with my joystick, which seems a little off.

Agree, desert comabt had great flight comabt as well.

ANyone perfer like Dc/bf1942/vientam to bf3?

Ive only played bf2, bfbc2 and bf3 so far, out of them all i preferred bf2 the most, then bfbc2. If they would sort out the various issues in bf3 id enjoy it a lot more.

i dont know whats going on with BF3 its like they dont want people to play vehicles , everything seems to be centred around infantry combat for some reason.

its probably one of the reasons no maps really have a "front line" in 1942/bf2 the vehicles would be able to stop the infantry overwhelming key outposts easily.

i'd give a left nut for one of the large desert maps from bf1942 or bf2 a map that covers a really large area without every base beeing within looking distance of the other.

give us something to promote real teamwork, theres no real reason to work in a team in bf3 and it shows , helis flying around with no gunner , tanks roaming around with no gunner , jeep/humvees roaming around like golf carts.

non of the planes are 2 seater with a bomb man either?

The bases are too close on bf3, even some of the later bfbc2 maps had better spaced out objectives, ie heavy metal and harvest day. In bf3 theyre all a comfortable walking distance.
