The Walking Dead Season 2.

They nicely rounded out a good few storylines in the latest ep.. Good bit of closure, changed the dynamics of the group. It has been a bit dawdling, but the last ep really perked it up a bit.

I think a big problem IS the budget cut, they simply don't have the money to make it faster paced.

For the people that just want zombie action and none of the drama, skip to episode 7 and watch the last 10 mins or so, nothing but guns firing and about a dozen zombies :p (from what I have read/heard on other forums....)

I'm enjoying season two much more than one. Maybe it's because I like the comics?

People seem to be complaining about goals and objectives....I don't think you get it.

On episode 3/4 just now, and I really don't think I can handle it.

Skip to the last episode, seriously.

The issues with this show have nothing to do with budget, and everything to do with writing. There are far too many plot holes and unbelievable choices by the characters. I still watch it since there is nothing else I enjoy on TV since Dexter went downhill, and I'm a nerd, so I enjoy apocalyptic scenarios. The show is just
so far short of what it could have been.

Agreed. The complaints from the first series were that it didn't follow the comics closely enough. They can't just storm through a large chunk of the comics just so there's masses of action in every episode.

Most of the time I'm just not getting the sense of panic and fear that I'd expect to feel in that situation. It's not enough 28 Days Later and too much Neighbours.

Enjoyed episode 7, was a bit stale at the beginning, redeemed itself in the 2nd half though, now looking forward to see the reaction that the end has caused in episode 8 in the new year.

Granted, S2 is 13 episodes so that does afford them some extra time to pad things out, slow it down and not rush, but they seem to have gone almost from one extreme to the other.

No it's not, it's 8 episodes.

There is due to be a 30 minute webisode sometime as well.

I'm still trying to decide what I think about the series as a whole. I enjoyed the first series but second just seems to have dragged a bit. I find the characters a bit flat and predictable.

Ep 207 was excellent and so far this season has been as good as the first and better. I was getting a bit fed up because there was hardly any zombies in the last few episodes and also getting a bit bored of looking for the girl and being at the farm. I hope they leave the farm soon.

It is 6 more episodes, starting in feb. S2 is 13 episodes, as previously stated.

It's just truncated on Wikipedia to not have a blank table, as nobody even knows the episode titles yet.

Under the dedicated Season 2 section:
The premiere aired in an extended 90-minute time slot, similar to the pilot episode. After the first seven episodes air, the series will go on hiatus, and then return on February 12, 2012, when the final six episodes of the season will begin airing.

Under the dedicated Season 2 section:

From the AMC website
The second season of The Walking Dead premieres with a special 90-minute episode on Sun., Oct. 16 at 9/8c with six one-hour episodes in the weeks following. The final six episodes of the season will begin on Sun., Feb. 12 at 9/8c.

Apologies, nowhere else I've seen said this was the case. Good job though! :D

February!? :(

Oh well, hopefully it will pick up a bit, so far it's been good but a tad slow for my liking...

How would he know where the group is though? Who knows.

Rick was talking to him over the police radio, can't be that hard to find one and a map, although I suppose knowing where they are and actually getting there are two very different things...

Actually just had a thought which may well be completely stupid but still, would sat nav work? They've got power (generators, cars, with presumably plenty of fuel left in them). Or even a satellite phone? That would be very useful.
