***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

This is my first post on the site so hope you guys will treat it gently!
Here is my current situation on the GNex:
Bought the N1 SIM free about 19 months ago direct from Google website when it first launched. Remember? N1 has been truly super and love those early OTA updates right up to Gingerbread OS. Bought my SIM card at Vodafone and added their Sure Signal Box to boost reception at home. Works a treat. Tried 3 SIM but reception sh...t! Now of course Vod, which was the leader in offering the N1 is the laggard on bringing the GNex!!Appreciate they are looking after us on the Volume Rocker issue but now that the fix is out, cannot understand why they are not launching. Anyway, current "offer" made to me by Vod is: 24 months, free handset, £ 31pm, 500 mins, unltd text, 1GB, BT OpenZone. What do you guys think? Is it worth waiting for them or working out an indirect Vod deal via say buymobilephones.net. Also, please let me know how to get any cashback deal when dealing direct with Vod. Thanks for helping a newbie.

Hopeless!

Honestly, they are just unbelievable. Where's the transparency? Where's the customer service?

I'm genuinely surprised at how bad it has been. They really don't give a ****.

There is one thing to remember and that is that Google are the ones who will push this out so maybe they are a bit in the dark.

Yeh, I know, lol

It's going to take some getting used to android after 3 years with IOS :o

Do you use a google email as well as your ntl account ?, if so do you know you can add your ntl account to your gmail account in gmail settings so both email accounts get pushed to your phone via the gmail app ...... i never use the normal email app, just the gmail one.

I had no idea you could do this. I'd appreciate some advice on how :)
I only really set up a gmail account so I could log into the phone and sync contacts. My email is all sent via ntlworld.com address.
