Never again will i do a 24 month contract

I've been thinking about it a lot with 3's one plan, but the extra 6 months and slower upgrade times would be annoying.

Also from a bit more reading on the one plan, a lot of critics are sceptical about how 3 will manage to maintain their network's ability to provide enough bandwidth for everyone on the one plan. We've seen with both O2 and T mobile now that they used to offer great data plans in the past, but had to eventually scrap them as mobile networks cant handle too many people using internet at the same time.

The more people that move onto the one plan, the slower 3's bandwidth will eventually become for those people. The more people that leave T mobile to go to 3 for their data tariffs, the faster mine becomes.

T Mob were also offering 'truly unlimited' data on 24 month £25 pm tariffs for new and existing customers over summer, but I want to stay on 18 months.

Never again will i do a 24 month contract, i'm to much of a geek to hold onto a phone for that time! I always end up selling my phone to pay off the rest of the contract and take out a new contract! ha i've yet to go through an upgrade.

Yea i'm the same. Just coming up to the last few months of my 24 months and it seems like forever. 18 months tops this time for me. There are some decent looking deals on T-mobile via some of the resellers so i may look at them.

Only issue is at present i'm on an o2 tariff with unlimited web which seems to be genuinly unlimited - I regularly use 2-3GB per month without charge. From the looks of things all the newer tariffs are limited to a certain amount of data which i don't really want. I wouldn't mind staying with o2 but their handset selection is pants for WP.

Whats the colour like in teh flesh?.....that photo with the flash seems to washout the colour a little.

Its pretty nice to be honest, the flash does wash the colors out a little as I was pretty close the the device. I am glad I have waited for the cyan model over the traditional black device as it really does stand out and looks the part. Its quiet weighty though and feels very well built.

I'll get some more pictures shortly, that's if I can put the phone down.:p

Ive already had one in the hand, the weight was fine, as the slightly thicker build felt a lot more like a phone, buttons etc all felt very well put together, I spent a lot of the time jsut loving how the transitions in the menus looked....lol

handled a couple today, prefering the black one :-O the cyan one was rather light in colour

the feel of the phone is way better than others I've tried. Camera button is a good feel and enjoyable to use too, unlike the arc :-(

rounded screen edges are very nice

black one was a working one, cyan a dummy or display one

Was considering getting one of these as my Desire contract is coming to an end and I had a little play around with one today. I have a couple of questions as my last two phones were Android based and was wondering if anyone here could shed a little light on them :)

Firstly watching the videos at the start of this thread, the people side seems very Facebook/Twitter focused. I don't use either of those and was curious if the Facebook/Twitter references in the people menu (and other menus) hide away nicely, or would they always be there lingering around the menus waiting for me to sign up?

Secondly I am not someone that has to have an app for everything so the lower number of apps doesn't bother me. I have however heard that the apps are generally more expensive on the W7 market. Is this true and are there a decent number of free apps to play around with?

Lastly I was just curious if there was anything people are particularly missing coming from an Android based phone?

Thanks in advance for any information :)

The Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc integration for contacts is enabled from the settings menu so you won't see it unless you go in there to switch it on.

I don't tend to buy many games on mobile phones so don't know on the relative costs of games across platforms but one thing I do like is the ability to try the majority of games. You don't have to look for a specific Lite or Demo version of an app or game, when you view it's details, if available, there will be a button to download and try it.

Voicemail. Fixes a voicemail notification display issue that occurs on some European and Asian networks under certain conditions.

This update is available only in certain markets.

Got mine today waiting for me after work :D.

All I can say is wow, it's such a nice phone, the OS is VERY well put together and nice little touches here and there, even the small things make it overall a great experience. tenfold better than android imo.

The only thing I don't like is the keyboard layout but it's only a minor gripe, the dedicated camera button which doesn't need an unlock is awesome too!

I am Very impressed with it, so glad I got it over the GS2!

Though I can't download anything as my XBL account was hacked a fortnight ago so I can't download any applications :<

Had another play with one today, i do like it and close to buying it over the nexus, but i read the internet speed isn't as fast as the nexus, and i'm not to sure about their facebook/twitter intergration, didn't really like the look of it ... hmm
