Can't remember what this looked like before, version is still the same but I thought the build number ended in d?

This is my first post on the site so hope you guys will treat it gently!
Here is my current situation on the GNex:
Bought the N1 SIM free about 19 months ago direct from Google website when it first launched. Remember? N1 has been truly super and love those early OTA updates right up to Gingerbread OS. Bought my SIM card at Vodafone and added their Sure Signal Box to boost reception at home. Works a treat. Tried 3 SIM but reception sh...t! Now of course Vod, which was the leader in offering the N1 is the laggard on bringing the GNex!!Appreciate they are looking after us on the Volume Rocker issue but now that the fix is out, cannot understand why they are not launching. Anyway, current "offer" made to me by Vod is: 24 months, free handset, £ 31pm, 500 mins, unltd text, 1GB, BT OpenZone. What do you guys think? Is it worth waiting for them or working out an indirect Vod deal via say buymobilephones.net. Also, please let me know how to get any cashback deal when dealing direct with Vod. Thanks for helping a newbie.

Thats not bad bad deal as u get the hanset for free but x 31 buy 24 to find out what u will pay .

So...pending confirmation that the update works, best place to buy this sim free unlocked? 520 seems generally to be the best price. Is that correct?

Just waiting for mine to be delivered now, could be a while. very happy I'm paying effectively 25£ per month over 24 months, or if I want to just chuck another sim and reduce the contract, 400 in total for the contract + phone.

Better than sim free in every way

I had no idea you could do this. I'd appreciate some advice on how :)
I only really set up a gmail account so I could log into the phone and sync contacts. My email is all sent via ntlworld.com address.

I only know how to do it though a browser, not the app but anyway...

Log into google mail on your computer or browser on your phone, if on your phone make sure your on the desktop version not the mobile version (scroll down to the botton of page and chose desktop version)

Go to settings, Accounts and then add another email address, you will recieve a confirmation email on your ntl email with a confirmation code, enter the code and your good to go ...

I think thats about it, im doing it from memory so i may have missed some thing out

No need to wait, simply get the zip from the thread on XDA and flash with clockwork ;)

Tested with a nearby o2 phone, no silliness.

Found a bug.

Was playing world of goo, while listening to a podcast using beyondpod

Accidently locked the phone and when i unlocked, went to the podcast controls, but no home, back or card mode buttons, meaning i couldnt unlock so had to restart
