Its time for the BBC to sack Clarkson?

Its people like this who like clarkson....Clearly uneducated petrol heads

The quality of some of the replies in this thread from the people supporting Clarkson...Merely supports my theory of the uneducated lapping him up.

I'm a public sector worker.

I've never owned a car.

I'm University educated.

I love Clarkson.

Over 2000 people have complained to the BBC and the NUT bosses are looking into suing him.

The One Show regularly pulls over 4milion viewers.

2000/4000000 = 0.05% of the viewing audience.

Yep, should deffo be sacked for that nation wide outrage :p

Jimmy Carr: "So let me get this right: people that say people should be taken out & shot should be taken out & shot. Is that right?"

Please explain how being racist equates to saying people should be taken out and shot, a comment which was clearly made in jest but at the same time captures many people's feelings about lazy civil servants?

Prejudice against Public sector workers...Nurses, Cleaners, Teachers ambulance drivers etc..

I'm not sure why people don't understand the concept...That nurses for example are geeting screwed over left right and centre by the new proposed plans.

They work for a living..Clarkson takes his million and then has the gaul to state that these people should get proper jobs and actually work for their money.

What don't you get?

It's quite clear he was joking. So what if people are 'offended' by it? Being offended doesn't mean anything, nothing happens. It has no reason to be respected as a phrase.

I haven't seen the whole clip, but i've heard someone say that he was supporting the strike before then, then he said something like 'i have a reputation to uphold, i have to **** them off now'.

Disappointing that people are getting so worked up over this.

Taken out of context his comment can and has been misconstrued yet again by the morons of society with nothing better to do than flap their gums at the most recent piece of "sensationalist" news.
It's obvious to anyone who watched the whole interview that he was joking in his own usually blunt and caustic way.
If people actually spet half as much time on sorting out the current problems in question rather than being offended at someone's opinion then the worlld would be a lot more of a smoother and nicer place to live in.

I really do worry about society sometimes.

I love Clarkson, I think he's hilarious. But this was a little too far IMO. We all know he's an very opinionated man and that's one of the reasons why he's so amusing - but this is a step too far.

He doesn't deserve to be sacked, but it would be nice if he made an apology, however brief.

Sometimes I think he is funny...But not this time.

Top gear is no longer about the Cars...Its about the ego's of the presenters.

Clarkson should be made an example of about this comment....And leave the stupid comments to the thick people who watch men in cars.

"lets face it...all people that watch topgear don't have girlfriends suck at life and are uneducated"

Oh and use the word "awsome" a lot pretending to be American...

See what I did there? :D

Can't stand the bloke. I would actually watch Top Gear again if they got shot of the awful presenters. As it is, i haven't seen it in years.

As Stephen Fry once said:

'It's now very common to hear people say, "I'm rather offended by that", as if that gives them certain rights. It's no more than a whine. It has no meaning, it has no purpose, it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. "I'm offended by that." Well, so ******* what?'

But hey ho, he's probably an uneducated petrol head ;)

Indeed..Its a shame because the technical team behind the location shoots are very talented.

So Clarkson predictably comes out with hyperbole/satire against the strike. Why is anyone surprised? The most disgusting aspect of this is Unison seeing if they can report him to the police.

I really hope they sack him like they did Ross...He's another overpaid tool who is unfunny and in love with his own ego.

I don't get why you think racism is on a par with disliking public sector workers. In fact that in itself is offensive as it belittles the plight of minorities to that of a petty squabble. Therefore you should be fired from OcUK.
