Yeah, there isn't any. But that idea about the fortify alchemy you had may well work, to some degree.
Just looked it up, there's a cap on enchants - max 29% fortify for smithing & alchemy. However, there's a glitch that allows you to wear a falmer helmet and a circlet at the same time, allowing for both of those two, a ring, a necklace and gloves to all be combined for a total of 145% smithing/alchemy boost from gear :/
Edit: Think I'll stick with just one crafting profession for each of my chars. When I do my sneaky/ranger type char it'll be alchemy, and smithing for my 2h berserker type. Keep the fun in the game that way
