thats crap because everyone dies within 120 secs usually lol.

So why even bother plant mines they are just being used like c4 explosive almost. An instant kill placed behind a tank, well better have an RPG instead in that case?

Point of mines is to defend an area and then leave it or hide away. But if they go when you die its pointless

Have you seen some of the infantry only servers. Was amazing, the entire road from RU spawn to D in grand bazaar, littered with mines (was a good 15 to 20). I don't think any went off lol.

completely

why bother removing the mines to enter a defended area when you can just find the engineer that planted them and kill him and make them magically disappear

So stupid.

You dont even have to find him, anyone at all can kill him. Go's against the old saying about mines. When the soldiers go home, the mines are still there.

Havent played much hardcore in bf3 yet, found it to be pretty good for racking up kills in bfbc2 as it was so easy, (albeit you will die a fair bit more). In bf3 normal mode, i can take down most people without emptying a clip, i tend to fire in bursts regardless of the weapon. Then immediately hit reload, got caught out to many times with a half empty clip on the early cod games.:o

ive noticed tbh that in a 30 clip gun i seem to fire 1 or 2 bursts and have 12-14 bullets left...and thats killing a guy close up.

From distance easily fire 3-4 bursts and empty whole clip.

Even firing 15 bullets it feels like I only fired about 5 or 6

Im constantly out of ammo on BF3. I've got into a really bad habit of reloading after every kill, regardless of what's left in the mag.

plus as you say mines are easily destroyed by tanks..........If spotted that is..

As for claymores just as silly. I like to defend areas aroudn flags or m-coms with claymores....but I always die all the time so why bother to plant claymores when they will be gone soon enough anyway.

its really silly.

I think it needs to be like this for planted c4, mines and claymores:

-A person can have a maximum of 10 of each active on the battlfeild (based on respawing/resupplying and replanting)

-If a person places an 11th mine, mine 1 dissapers, a 12th mine, mine 2 dissapears etc..

-All mines,c4,claymores have a 10 minute life span. After 10minutes they dissapear.

What you guys think? I think thats a decent setup?

Add to the fact that the majority of support players never drop ammo. Ive often had to resort to scavenging weapons from dead players.

What more evidence is needed than the dev saying

The server validates them but its still client side detection

Typical dice, we have to presume he is talking about the pc version, and the usual fail of the server not having a clue about where you are, explains the rambo moments and the invulnerable glass moments (knifing glass doesn't always work, hitting a fence no problem nice big hitbox).

Ammo box lasts about 1000th of the life time of a health box, I swear! If the health boxes were indestructible I bet they would still be there after the BF3 war was over. :D

 needs buffed with increased capacity and lifetime. Also supplying through the wall/floor needs sorting lol.

Lol, sometimes when i pick up dead guys guns i get flashbacks to far cry 2, some of the weapons you picked up in it could be very dodgy. Your in the middle of a firefight and it jams on you. Was a nice realistic touch, but frustrating at times as well.

when you redrop an ammor or medikit box after you move position the old one dissapears right?

and upon death do they dissapear also?
