He's a tough one for sure! i found him when i was a lowly level 15ish. i ran like a coward.

Took the Sagarin rose and a few potions to kill him at level 30. The mask is well worth it though :D

Edit i tell a lie it was Volsung, but same sort of enemy!

Yeah not something you want to see just after a dragon battle :eek:
 
Without looking at the wiki, I've been told Krosis is known as a dragon priest - A guardian type mob and there's quite a few like him scattered about. Just great!
 
oh dear looks like I too just stumbled upon the stormcloaks and main quest bug - and I cant continue my game hohoho thx Bethesda. what a ****ing EPIC FAIL

To have an actual main quest line bugged is seriously ****ing lazy

Stole a few soul things off the desk of the mage in dragons whatever where jarl is. Found out i shouldn't have lol as i saw some hired thugs in his lab and they attacked me grr, still kicked their arses but still. Anyway to get the contract off my back or will it always now send a few hired thugs after me if i go see the todger to use the enchantment thing in his room?
 
after my post above I managed to fix the bug (but it does need to be patched definitely) 3am! and just completed the game woop woop, not a bad main quest. now to dick about...

Just got to that Riven or whatever city at the far south east. Big place like aint it. Took ages to get there. Found a few things along the way like a mine, a cave with a strange forest demon which was caged up and friendly but didnt stick around when i let it free and some other things.

Went there mainly to see about that unusual gem.

Ee im shattered. You set your mind to get somit sorted then hours past and you ended up doing far more than you wanted to lol.

Going to start thinking of enchanting and leveling it up as i heard a few pages back its good to make weapons stronger somehow not just bind a power on em. Btw i got this orc bow of frost or somit and its cool and all not as strong as my elven bow exceptional i think the level its at is. But it has 20 frost and stamina damage or somit which is nice, but this grey bar keeps going down, why?

I got really lucky with this fight. As soon as it started some random Nords came along and started attacking the lich. Turns out they were hired thugs that initially came to kill me but set on the Lich instead! I casually sat back as they killed each other, looted their corpses and then went about my business :D

You need to charge the item with a soul gem filled with a soul. You obtain souls using the soul trap spell or using some weapon with that enchanted onto it. I highly recommend the latter.
 
I dont use magic at all. I had hoped that weapons and armour with attributes like dealing frost or fire etc damage would be permanent and not need to be recharged with magic. :(
 
My thief has no magic spells and gets by fine. Just find any weapon with the soultrap spell enchanted onto it. Disenchant it and put it onto a weapon you would normally use. Blacksmiths sometimes sell them.

So far the only enchantments I have noticed that don't need recharged is fortify armour enchantments (increase bow damage on gauntlets etc).

If you level enchanting up you can pick the Skill Perks: Soul Squeezer and then Soul Siphon which = "Death blows to creatures, but not people, trap 5% of the victim's soul, recharging the weapon."

Its lazy because its a main quest bug that prevents you from continuing and its really easy to stumble upon given the nature of the two quests, bugs are fine but when its to do with the main quest that isn't all that long I would have expected no issues

i think there's a console command to automatically complete quests.

SetStage <id> - Used to set the quest stage (Useful for bugged quests), for given quest ID (use command ShowQuestTargets for IDs). Common usage is to add 10 to the stage number given to advance past a bugged portion of a quest.

Yeh I found Krosis yesterday too. I didn't wake him intentionally to my knowledge, but regardless I had both him and a blooming dragon attacking me at the same time! Dragon went down pretty quick but he really took some killing. Cool mask though :D


I've been leveling up enchanting and smithing, can see how broken it is but still can't resist.
Think I do need to do some enchants on armour that make destruction spells use less, until now I've always used +magick and +regen. But apart from using stoneflesh/soul trap and maybe summoning atronach's I don't really use anything else in combat.

From one of the loading screens it looks like there's a lot of those masks (about 10 I think) so maybe that means there are another 8 of these guys (I found another during a quest).
 
Desite being level 47, armour rating over the cap, high magic resistance, frost resistance and fire resistance of 80% odd and nearly 500 health, an Ancient Dragon can still kill me with ONE ******* breath attack if I don't block, the whole health bar in 1 go! scary stuff. If I block, it takes about 1/3 or more. Scary stuff, I was getting owned by one. This is on Master difficulty btw.
