CANT PARTY JOIN.. oops caps.. given up for the night

I tried lag compensation on Full and 50% and on 0% On full i couldnt get any kills... lol just hits upon hits... was really odd.

Came across a couple of cheaters on a 24/7 Caspian server!. Spawned in the main base, walked towards the entrance and was shot halfway across the map instantly by a tank round. Went another way out the main base and killed by the same two, there was no way they could see me and get a spot on kill at that range.

Patch day hit reg blues again. Not worth playing for a day or so after they patch. Been dire tonight, I had to shop playing. People taking no damage at all again, rounds passing through close enemy as if they aren't there then 1 shot killed and they show 100% health. Dreadful.

Yeah the M39 is an upgraded M14 basically.

This patch is AWESOME

, Every server felt like Hardcore and my shots counted plus it's damn nice to know I could play for ages without a single crash

Any tried running bf3 in admin mode to see if it fixes your own ping not showing on your scoreboard?

also its crap how yuo have to unlcok attatchemnts for each gun rather than each class

I mean 100 kills+ with each gun is annoying

Really depends how you personally like the feel of each gun. I had a load of guns unlocked as Assault but kept using the M416 as it just felt right. I also hate the M249 but lots of people love it.

m416 better than m16a3? I have 80 kills with m16 but 0-15 kils with other guns so it will take ages to unlock stuff...

I heard the f2000 is good

Seems to be a lot more stable now. No more stupid crashes from first load and when you join a new server too soon after leaving another.

I used IRNV a lot but can cope without it just as easily. I'm just more wary of bushes now. Tried the new IRNV down in the tunnels at Metro and it's basically worse than useless. I couldn't see enemies right in front of me, even after the initial blur. Not sure if it's my settings or what but if this is what it's like now then I'm suprised by some people's feedback on it.

Got blinded by one Tatical light. Didn't seem that different tbh. Played some TDM and less people were using it so that's good.

Quitting the game takes a few seconds longer to actually close. On one occasion after I was kicked for using the MAV it hung for at least 15 seconds.

Chat box is more BC2 like but it's still easy to miss messages.

Two dumb questions:

1.) What does the red dot scope do other than let the bad guys know someone is pointing the gun at him? Are you supposed to actually use the dot to help aim?

2.) Can someone explain co-op? I've not touched it but want to give it a go - no website really states what it is. Play with a few mates on completing single player? (which I also have not played)!

1. That's not red dot you mean the laser attachment, red is simply just a scope with a red dot in the middle. The laser is supposed to help you aim in RL not sure what it's supposed to do in bf3 apart from getting slightly blinded by it.

2. Co-op are mission you play with a mate or some random where you have to do certain things but it's mainly just running through a lvl killing everything

It improves your accuracy when firing from the hip, ie when you attach it you'll notice your crosshair shrinks in size.
