Had a very quick go on Gulf of Oman on PS3 to see how badly it had been cut down from the PC version of BF2, not too horrific...

there are two game modes on console apparently. conquest small and conquest 24.

conquest 24 has 5 flags on oman, conquest small has 3.

can you see the two types in the server browser ? what about conquest assault ? i had heard the conquest small was purely conquest assault games.

Conquest assualt was rubbish, get stuck in a crap squad against a full team of level 40+ like we did last night and its over in 10mins.

when defending you HAVE to keep a flag, if you dont you cant spawn unless a squad member is still alive, if they die thats it untill everyone dies, or someone else captures a flag back.

Played a bit of Karkand last night and wasnt to impressed, its been cut down from BF2 so you no longer go over the trainline.

Sharqui looked good, getting used to it the ne maps will take a few rounds even though ive played years ago.

Read an article the other day that said Dice are aware of the PS3 input lag issues and are working on it. Thank god, I was starting to think I was the only person who was getting frustrated because of it.

So what version does the console get for Wake, Wake Small or Wake large ?

and where do these conquest small maps come into play ?

Played wake island tonight, not too keen on the f35, but still a great map

went 17-1 with the Anti aircraft

Still nothing yet, they are leaving it pretty late to announce the patch. The annoucement pretty much has to be today :/
