Modern boot cuts cover half your shoe/sneakers and looks pretty cool tbh instead of the tip going to the top of the shoes and giving the impression of clown feet :p

I would hazard that if that's your complaint with regular / slim cut jeans you try to buy a longer leg. Sadly for the taller gent, average waste sizes and longer legs sizes are tough to get in one package. Even finding 32 (or 30)w/34l can be irritating for me! Or if you are after the casual look, go for regular cut and some high-tops trainers - that seems to be pretty fashionable.

I think boot cut looks casual, but as I get older I think smart looks better and it's rare that boot cut jeans look particularly 'smart'.

My comment wasnt about the price alone. Read it again a bit more clearly.

Id expect to see such rich celebs wearing far nicer stuff than that.

I am 31-32waist 31leg if I buy from FCUK/Burton/Next etc but if it's form TKMax or some other factoruy outlets then the same fitting can vary in specced size and can end up being 32/33 or 31/32!!

I don't think it's worth buying much of the 'Polo' range there - often you'll find that some brands these days produce specific lines that will go in to discount/factory outlets directly. Definitely worth keeping an eye out for some nice Black Label or Purple Label stuff though. :eek:

You should be trying some ladies factoruy outlets with your size.
 
There is nothing wrong with splashing out on occasion with designer staples.

Then padding out with high street basics :)

In most cases the quality is better.

My coat is from Karen Millen and the most commented item of clothing in my wardobe.

I usually identify 'looks' I like in mags and replicate with my own budget ;)

I used to be 28 inch waist, 32 inch inside leg :(

You shouldnt mock, it felt so much better than my now 33-34 inch flabby gut (was 38 inch last year!).

I have a tiny frame. Whenever I complain about my humongous bulging gut, people loot at me and think 'If you think youre fat, then you have issues and need help'.

MY BODY SIZE IS NOT AVERAGE YOU PLEB.

recently, in the past few months i've totally switched from bootcut to straight fit, mainly because bootcut do not go with "normal" trainers, AT ALL. (they always drag underneath the back, cover the whole trainer and basically look crap) unless, you wear really fat DC's or skate shoes.

also dropping from a 36 waist to a 30/32 in the past few months has also helped. :)
 
I know nothing of fashion, and quite happy to admit it - to be honest I only ever buy clothes out of necessity rather than "want". Were I to have more disposable income and only after my other priorities were paid for, I'd probably buy "nicer" clothing - but I'm next to clueless about it (other than suits and shirts - which I used to take a lot of pride in, but none of them fit me now and have gone to charity :().

In fact it's only in the last few months that I've actually bought some new "nicer" clothes - which has been noticed by a lot of people - so people do notice. However can't help but feel - **** these are expensive I don't want to get them dirty! lol! If I were to win the lottery then sure, it would be great to buy a whole bunch of new nice clothes - but again, this would be after other more important (to me) items were purchased!

Fashion has just never been a priority - I've just relied on my good looks in the past to get me by! :p

Also finding clothes that fit me nicely is nigh on impossible. :(
 
I don't spend much on clothes because I don't really give a damn about them, but I can understand why people do. However I balk at somethings, like a friend who recently bought a jumper for £190.

Meh.

I got to TK Maxx and save a fortune. £40 instead of £150 for Diesel Jeans. £100 Leather jacket from DKNY. £8 Ted Baker Tie.

You just need patience to dig through the crap to find the gems.

ive been in TK Maxx a few times, and it's only good for smart shoes, boxers, ties and belts.

everything else in their for men is awful, or it must get snapped up quickly.

i think its a lot better for home stuff and womens clothing, if your into that.
 
I've got four pairs of trousers in rotation, all from Tesco or Sainsburys. When one needs replacing, I do so at a cost of £5. On average they last me for more than a year.
