Designer clothing

i dont buy any of that paisley floral patter crap, most of mine have stripes ro are one plain colour, etc. they are smart looking not the casual ones.

whilst at uni i was the director of a limited company and manager of a restaurant the company owned.

so my wage wasn't your typical student pizza delivery driver's £20 a night.
Sounds like quite an achievement, but I personally wouldn't go around telling people how much I spent on such items.

i would like to see a £50 shirt anywhere near the quality of my £150 ted baker shirt.

Have you tried many of the fitted TM Lewin shirts? Thick decent cotton, iron very well, never seem to shrink shrink, very flattering fit, good range of styles. Sure they are more 'office wear' than anything else, but I think they really do make some excellent shirts.

i bought a tie from them once, but i remember the tie being roughly £30, so i was thinking their shirts would be £100 minimum, i take it that is not the case?

i have 2 x £300 jackets (all saints and diesel)
a few over £100 jackets (g star and full circle)
i have a £350 hoodie (limited edition christian audigier)

have like 10 pairs of g star jeans some i got for as low as £30 xile clothing sale and some for as high as £130

got a ted baker 3 piece suit - roughly £600 (look like a BOSS wearing this)
got a fcuk 2 piece suit - roughly £250

i have a huge range of ted baker smart shirts ranging from (£50-£150), i must say though the £150 shirt stands out, it looks amazing, ive not worn it yet, it's being saved for my wedding reception, when i saw it i had to have it, but the price tag was high for a shirt.

i have a large range of shirts and trousers from peter werth and full circle as well, basically i only ever buy smart stuff from these three designers.

shoes i have a large collection of high tops and smart shoes, ted baker, peter werth, kurt geiger, adidas, limited edition puma's, etc.

got a large range of knitted stuff which comes out in winter by full circle, g star, peter werth, etc.

i also do buy plain white t shirts from primark, just to wear whilst in the home, or working out in the gym, but i do have a few pairs of calvin klein plain white and plain black t shirts and they are 10 times better, the feel of them on my skin, they dont go out of shape and their look is a lot better.

basically you do get what you pay for, i always get complimented on my shirts. you may think £600 for a suit is excessive, but i figured it's best to buy 1 really good suit and take it to india, and then hand it over to a tailor, and tell him i want 5 suits made the exact same way in a range of different fabrics/lining/colours. custom made suit of the same quality in india will cost me £100. so basically im gonna get 5 ted baker suit clones in india for less than the cost of the original. the workmanship and material will be of the same quality, so long as i find a decent tailor, i have already seen one guy's work which was amazing, very impressive.

basically so long as you don't spend outwith your means, and are smart about it all, you can get some good deals, or some really nice clothing.

i constantly get wow comments on my £350 hoodie, i even had a lecturer when i was at uni ask if he could borrow it for a night. but i have worn it to a few casual birthday parties too and got good comments, it even helps break the ice, as people always ask where i got it from, or who made it, etc.

You seem like a person who wants to look like they have money to me.

Obviously its only my opinion but people who buy fashion brands like Christian Audigier and Gstar look like they are trying too hard, most of that stuff is expensive for expensives sake and not what I would class as quality.

Oh you just ooze class. And bad grammar.

End of the day you get what you pay for, to some it is an investment in the clothing they buy as they know it will last a good few years.

i like how you completely disregarded all my smart wear,

whats your opinions on brands like ted baker, all saints, peter werth, kurt geiger, full circle, etc?

completely quoted out of context.

i like nice clothes, i like to wear an urban style when im casual which is g star jeans, timbies or high tops and a hoodie.

that's my casual style.

Eh, I just buy stuff I like and that's fairly cheap, don't care if it's branded or not. Shame the stuff I like isn't in fashion, means I have to traipse around for aaaaaages to find anything. Usually end up buying from factory outlets when they're selling off old lines. The most expensive clothing item I have is my leather jacket, which was £175, and I only managed to bring myself to pay that for it because I'd seen it in the shop a dozen times times and kept being drawn to it, so finally thought 'screw it'.

As I said its only my opinon, but a Ted Baker or FCUK suit is hardly what I would call a quality suit, you seem fixated on the prices of clothes and its comming across desperate.

I can't stand brands like Hollister, Jack Wills, A&F, Superdry, etc. Absolutely awful, yet worn by so many people.

I think if I posted my wardrobe, it'd consist almost entirely of Ralph Lauren. I just love their fits and styles. I feel like I can just walk straight in, pick something up and know it'll fit perfectly without having to worry about trying it on or whatever.
