I think this is how EA thinks they are making the games more interesting by making passing etc "random" I've said for yonks that the passing in Fifa is broken. People say that it's where you point it and it's not the games fault. Funny that in every other game i've ever played there isn't a problem like this.

Yup, and rubbish like the referee being able to make contact with the ball, it has no place in a game like this, they can argue realism all they like but there are plenty of other blatantly unrealistic things in this game. :/

Just had a promising attack stopped by the ref standing on the ball on the opponents box.

They have to make it like that otherwise no one would ever give the ball away, it would be ridiculous. Players make bad passes in real life, if the ball went exactly where you wanted it to on FIFA it would be an absolute chore to get it back.
 
Just played someone whos team was amazing. Just a shame they had a rubbish formation.
