Man of Honour Nomination....

I'd vote for Stulid, Big-Wayne, Gareth and 5UB :p

Stulid - I guess he is a great contributor to the General Hardware but I, and I think many others, would often (like 90% of the time) disagree with him outside that forum. He certainly is an asset to OcUK and I wouldn't be surprised if he's got this year's award TBF.

Big Wayne? Why? I'm pretty sure being an active poster and an avid AMD preacher doesn't make you a great contributor, even though he may voice some good points. He hasn't been active for almost a year too.

Gareth - a very dedicated gamer with disability that would put many off from this form of entertainment. I feel that he received enough recognition already and I remember often disagreeing with his opinions in the technical sections of the Forum. He is an AMD fanboy in a bad way too. :p Of course a MoH award would certainly be appropriate for the few reasons listed above, especially since his movement gained some popularity to the PC Gaming forum and OcUK in general, and supported the disabled gamers movement in a good way.

5UB is a Don already and one of the best human beings on OcUK IMO.

My votes would be for 5UB for being a really decent chap, and for Castiel for the sheer amount of quality volume he has brought to the forums. It's people like him that stop the quality dropping to misc standards. :p

inb4 nuthug.

What forums did Castiel contribute so much to? :p

It's already been said why 5UB won't get his donship revoked for being a MoH.

Present tense, does. :p

GD and in particular Speakers corner. :)

So he made GD a little less rubbish. ;)

I agree that he is a great poster, a major contributor though? Let's give it some time.

With that said, I don't even know on what basis the MoH status is awarded so can't really comment if he deserves it or not.

This is by far the most popular forum, and the section which has the most identity. By that reasoning, someone who helps improve and keep it interesting is someone I'd nominate.

How many people would be active on this forum if it was just hardware talk? ;)

The most popular doesn't mean quality. I bet if you were to put all hardware forums together, they would be more popular than GD. It just so happens that everyone and more frequent this section as it is generally a spam pit where you can talk on whatever subject you want. I would bet a lot of money that without the Hardware sections this forum wouldn't even exist.

I come here every now and then to find something funny or interesting but to be fair, most "funny" things are reposts from everywhere else, the interesting discussions are taken more seriously on other forums so this just seems like a waste of time. GD is a playground for adults.

And Speaker's Corner doesn't have enough great posters on opposite sides of the fence to warrant being anything other than a more moderated GD subforum.

I'll just leave it at that.

EDIT:
ninja edit? :P

No, not a ninja edit, just an edit.

From just a quick look, it would appear there are more posts on GD than all the hardware forums put together.

It can be construed as a spam pit if you were to look at it that way, but it's also where most of the interaction takes place. :)

It's separate opinions, neither of us is right or wrong. :)

It deserves MOH. :D

Sub-Forum Extraordinaire......

GD is actually vital to the overall popularity of OCuk, it encourages members to become more regular and active contributors to the community at large, instead of the majority simply popping in on an infrequent basis when they have a hardware issue or want some specs etc.....sure some would remain regular to their chosen hardware section, but GD is the unifying force that pushes the forum forward.....It is the heart and soul of OCuk, the beating drum to which we all march.....

damn, I should be a politician, I'm so full of ****

Pretty sure that FF got 3/4/5 although he might have been 06.

I'm surprised I don't see 10 post that often... you'd think they'd still be fairly noticeable...
