The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Anyone else gotten completely lost in Blackreach(the massive, and i mean massive, underground cavern)?

There seem to be loads of different entrances and exits, i just entered near Windhelm and got out next to Dawnstar! Took me ages to find my way out
I wish I hadn't started that mission last night. I didn't finish the quest till 5am!! (Im one of those that cant stop something until theyre done). Basically you need to head South west (or is it east? hmm). It's an elevator, but not to the outside.

I've not seen a glimpse of anything to do with a Thieves Guild so far. Should I frequent the beggars more often or do you have to overhear something?

Spoilers for some, how to start the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood questlines:

You start the Thieves Guild storyline in Riften by talking to someone there(you can't miss him). It also comes up in the main questline as well as you have to talk to the same person as a part of the story, i would say it is about half way through the main quest.

That does start the Dark Brotherhood questline, not sure if it is the only way to start it though?

^^ This wasn't even the main story part(i've done that bit), i wandered in there during a side mission(one of the Dark Brotherhood ones). Absolutely stunning environment.

Damnit, everytime i think i'll start cleaning up my quest journal i end up with more quests than I started with

I should probably go to some of the other towns. Only recently wandered far enough west to reach Molthor. Other than the first 2 and the ones on the way to the College and Hrothgar I've not really been to any.

Combat with mages is such a pain in the arse when they're using Wards. I just don't get how enemy NPCs can possibly have the magicka reserves to use the spells they do so often. Been experimenting with Alchemy and they have a nice bunch of poisons. Prevent enemy magicka/health/stamina regen, drain the stat in a burst, drain it over time. Such a pain finding them all out though and getting the Experimenter perk is seriously expensive.

Just started this again after leaving it for a few weeks. Patches have really made this run smooth now aye.

I'm late to the party but mines been running fine... for the most part. I got myself killed during 1 dungeon a few times, the last time the framerate dropped to 10-15 until I got through that area, it was just completely crippled for no reason. Then earlier the same thing happened while I was outside, no matter where I went it was like it was running at 5 fps, stuttering badly, so I turned it off. Hopefully it'll have sorted itself out when I go back on.

Well i just came home to visit my wife Ysolda and found some chump sat down to dinner with her. Cheating hussy! Presumably I can marry someone else now she's pushing up the daisies? That woman in the chapel in markarth is pretty hot

I get that sometimes where it drops to10 for no reason. Save and reload et voila: 60.1FPS again :D lol

Blackreach isnt that big though, the lifts are effectively portals as they just transport you half the map. the underground distance covered is very small.
getting to blackreach through Alftand is bigger and longer though...but their not the same thing.

Can anyone help me with Boethiah's Calling quest?

just want to know who you chose to slay? Don't want to kill Lydia. Should I just go and recruit another house carl?

I have this game sitting on my desk. I want to play it but I think the mrs will get peed off if I out some hours into it. What is the best type of character to make I'm new to all this stuff fallout is the only game I think I've played like this.

Theres no such thing.

Did the Brotherhood quest. Lucien LeChance would turn in his grave. Stabbed her in the back as she sat with a Conjured Sword an she screamed, alerting everyone nearby. That wasn't subtle at all.

Dunno what to do now though. I guess they just turn up at some point? I should probably try sleeping. I keep hoping luciens son turns up just as an excuse to have the same actor :D
