New Contract Phone

I think if i had the pick of phones today, it would go:

samsung galaxy s2
samsung nexus
iphone 4/S

Out of those i'd go for the Nexus.
I don't like iPhones so that doesn't interest me. And the nexus is easily the best android phone out at the moment.

I had a look around, 3 were doing a 24 month contract at 35 pounds, for the phone the 16gd was 110 pounds upfront and 32gb was 189 pounds upfront IPhone 4s, 2000 mins crossnetwork unlimited texts and internet.

OMG!!! Totally forgot about my 3G contract. Expires in 02-01-12, which means...........UPGRADE. Early x-mas!!! So excited its been ages since i got my hands on a new gadget.

BUT, choices choices. Everyone has the Galaxy S II, which looks awsome. My current phone is HTC Desire with Oxygen on it.

Has anything come out since the Galaxy S II thats better/run android?

(should go to bed but i'm straight off to my nearest 3G shop on lunch break tomorrow.....)

I don't have a 4S, no point getting one as the only difference is Siri, which has been ported to the iPhone 4 anyways. Plus jailbreaking is the only reason that I bought an iPhone, jailbreaking is a massive deciding factor for some people

The troll is weak in this one.

Galaxy Nexus. :)

Try it, it might not be locked.

If it is, get it unlocked - it isn't expensive.

I don't think the Nexus can be unlocked via rooting like the S2 can at the moment.

I've just been and looked at the nexus and i don't like the look of it, the galaxcy S2 looks so much better imo, and the salesman said the S2 will be upgradeable to ICS soon so i think i'll be going for the S2 for my first android.

LolJay794.

This.

Also, I have to say ICS is far superior to the previous 'droid o/s versions.

It's nice just having a stock OS as google wanted it to be without the added manufacturers bloat.

I'd say if funds aren't an issues, Galaxy Nexus.

Worked like a charm straight out of the box. Market even had a Vodaphone catagory appear along with Apps, Games Movies, 10p apps etc.

Awsome phone compared to my Desire, although the official BBC app does not support it (the O/S i presume)...oh well.

Its lighter than the Desire as well!

With you there mate, i went to see it in the shops and thought it looked really tacky. The s2 on the other hand i just LOVE the look of. If i were getting a phone today it would be the Galaxy Note, but have decided to be sensible and wait for my contract to end in april or so and will go for a new gen phone if they are out.

The Nexus looks tacky but the S2 doesn't? How strange.
