Yep. My thoughts exactly. I also like the whole 80s/90s feel to the original trilogy and I really don't like the guy who play's McClane's sidekick. 4 just feels too modern and up to date to be a proper part of the Die Hard series for me.

1, then 3 then 2 then 4 for me.

1, 2 and 3 are classics. They are full of quality one-liners and they are all well paced actioners.

Not a big fan of the second one I'm afraid, the original is legendary and I enjoyed the 3rd a lot too. Can't remember much about the 4th though about from some ridiculous stunt where a car flies up in the air to take out a helicopter...

I have 1, 2 & 3 on Blu-Ray, they are pretty good quality, not the best but a big improvement on the dvd's. No.3 is a different region though as it hasn't been released in the UK.

My favourite is Die Hard With a Vengeance, second place goes to Die Hard, third place to Live Free or Die Hard and in last place is Die Harder.

I love Die Hard. I look forward to every Christmas when they're on because they're just quality no matter how many times you have watched them. (Apart from Die Hard 4 - which was kinda dire)

Also, Die Hard 3 has one of the best movie intro sequences I've ever seen. You're just settling down to watch the film, enjoying the music and then BOOM the movie starts

Definitely, the whole setup of DH3 is just fantastic, a completely broken man who is the only person capable of resolving a horrific situation.

I always thought, If only Simon Gruber hadn't involved his revenge in the heist, he would have probably gotten away with it... FOOL!

Watched them all recently with my gf. My gf's order of prefernce is:

3,1,2,4

Mine is:

1,3,2,4

Not say any of them are bad, i still think 4 is pretty decent and i'm shocked at the hate for 2, i thought at the time when it came out it was almost as good as the first.
