If you have absolutely nothing extra showing up, launch Team Fortress 2 and view your inventory within the game (hats/items etc). Once you've scrolled through them all, close the game and restart Steam.

Once I did that, my stuff started showing up normally. Pity it was all coal!

Sorry, I got Portal free with my purchase of Portal 2 last year. I'll keep hold of Cthulu in case you get anything else you don't want though.

The Defense Grid one has not come into play yet. There are six new ones each day.

Someone posted a link a couple of pages back that spoils the achievements for the various gifts. Many games have new seasonal achievements that have appeared, for example Defense Grid, Day of Defeat: Source, Toki Tori, Revenge of the Titans and more.

You can unlock the achievements now, but they won't count as completed in the gift bag giveaway until the actual day that they are featured comes around.
