JUst a quick question on PvP servers. I've get every intention of creating a character on one of these at some stage.
Now we're live and people are playing them, can anyone tell me just how "PvP" they are?

I understand the concept of "all out war" but at the same time I like the idea of being able to advance my character now and again without being "ganked" the second I move towards a story/quest zone.

Are there any "safe" areas on the PvP servers?
Is there any restriction on what levels can "gank/attack" you - so say you're a owly Level 15 could a Level 30 still happily attack?
Is it as lawless as it sounds, or are there some basic restrictions?

Dunno what to do. I really wanna play this but I'm getting Skyrim for christmas, if I like TOR more than Skyrim I won't be able to play it for awhile because I won't wanna appear ungrateful :(
 
Grrr... I have been accepted into the Frostclaw OcUK Clan quite a while back. But unable to get logged onto the server.

As i have limited time to play in the evenings when i get in from work its quite frustrating.

As soon as a the queue's die down a bit i will be on. It was ok when i played Wow from vanilla days as i had a lot more free time in the evenings back then lol

There are OCUK guilds for Republic PVE on both Frostclaw (It's a Tarp!, I think) and Killian Jarro (Nice Hat). I'm in the latter, feel free to come join us if you want.

See above if you want an alternative and the queues are too long on Frostclaw.

Bah! DVD drive must be messed up as after waiting an hour on disk 1 it then failed to recognise disk 2 and then deleted everything it had installed! Download time it is then!

Me and the guy next to me at work were in the TOFN Q this morning at about 1800 then all of a sudden we was in the game....

Looks like there artificial Q system messed up or they just let everyone in.
 
So I finally got everything sorted and installed last night, spent a while looking for a good english republic server...

Decided on Hex Droid as haven't heard anything bad about it and seemed friendly enough once I logged on.

I'm only level 6 atm but planning on a session tonight, my question is:

Is there a sort of Ravencrest of SWTOR? I realise almost if not every server is more Empire populated but wondering if anyone has had any experience as to which server is the best bet Republic wise? Will consider full servers as I imagine the queus will dissappear soon enough, but would prefer a medium-heavy server just so I can get stuck in for the time being. Any advice would be appreciated!

On another note, really impressed with the game, seems very well polished from first impressions. Wasn't impressed with the Male models however, felt the Female models had been more well done.

Slightly annoyed now, I am only in work for 2 days for the rest of the month due to holidays and I would have liked to of started this but can't find a single hard copy anywhere and the digital version is still "sold out" :(
 
Just got in from work and oh yeah 1264 in queue.

Oh and also tried to log in at 7.25am. 600queue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thing is though bioware PUT me on that server (and our guild) so we put a lot of time into our chars over early access - only now to be royally (____) when trying to get back into the game.

Why oh why force so many guilds onto that server. FAIL!
