That ability to change it would have been for testing only, it's possible but it would mess up all manner of things for your character.

They could probably implement it in future as part of a patch and make it very expensive and require a very long and difficult quest line to do so.

They can't do it! Would make zero sense on all levels it's a completely different story, companions amongst other things.

I would nerd rage a lot if they introduced this as people would just flip flop between classes depending on what was best at the time.

As someone said above there are 8 classes not 4, don't fold on this BW.

Doesn't the orange gear also have base stats though? Which could make it better/worse than Purple items of the same level, even with mods?

I use all orange gear and mod it to blue, guess if you put in epic mods then it could be close to epic level

teh orange items I have DONT have base stats so everything comes from mods, my orange helm started off as strength but I re-modded to aim

And 99% sure it's just for future billing so you don't get charged and can cancel at anytime.

Issue: 'No Active Subscription' error post launch | 12.20.2011 , 05:22 AM


Greetings everyone,

If you are currently experiencing an issue while attempting to play Star Wars: The Old Republic and receiving an error ‘No Active Subscription’, please make sure you have completed all of the steps in account management to get Ready to Play.

How can I ensure I am ready to play the Game at launch?
There will be a 48 hour ‘grace period’ for Early Game Access players post launch. Those players who are in Early Game Access will not be able to continue to play the Game after December 22nd, 12:01AM EST without completing the following required steps:

1. Create a SWTOR account if you have not created one
2. Fill out your contact information
3. Set up minimum 3 - maximum 5 security questions to protect your SWTOR account
4. Redeem an official Game Product Registration Code (This is different from your Pre-Order Code. Your Product Registration Code is the code tied to the official Game.)
5. Sign up for a recurring subscription or enter a Pre-Paid Game Time Code.

This should resolve any problems related to this error message.


If you are still experiencing any issues with this after checking the above, please submit a ticket to [email protected] saying that you already went through the Ready to Play steps.
