Right.. after buying this game on the week of release and being new to UT. I finally feel like I am getting somewhere. Never had more than about 8000 coins in my bank at once and I'm finally in a position to have some half decent players and compete in the tournaments.

First ever pack I got Hernandez which was a nice bonus. Then today I bought a premium gold pack for 7500 coins as there was nothing catching my eye for that sort of price in the auctions and managed to get Ashley Cole :)

What are you guys finding is the best formation, I'm currently using 4-1-2-1-2.

Hernandez is by far my favourite player although Im a little underwhelmed by balotelli and Wilshere. Would like a really good Prem CAM. Only seem to be able to afford Wilshere/Areteta for my price range under 10k.

Cheers for the offer but I'm on PS3. Do you find the wide players stay too far back when attacking? How is the CMs for tracking back?

im actually thinking of selling maicon and bringing abate back, as maicon attacks far too much for my liking and i dont like going defensive to stop him.

Reckon you're right about 4-2-2-2. Wanted to go 4-4-2 or 4-1-2-1-2 so I can accommodate Lavezzi but I'll just take the chemistry hit and put him at CAM.

I found Pato crap after trying him 3 times in different teams, just could not get along with his slow shooting. Not that fond of Robinho as well.

Reckon my team would be like this:

Ibra -- Cavani

Di Natale -- Lavezzi

Vidal -- Cambiasso

Taiwo -- Chiellini -- Lucio -- Abate

Buffon

Did you get SIF Marchisio in the end? If so how was he?

I also noticed you have a few other comedy goals against me. This is almost becoming slanderous. ;)

Still can't believe Heskey though, he was just ridiculously fast and well, that video shows the rest.

But despite the Heskey incidents, I think I'm doing a lot better with this new formation/teams. Just seems to work for me better than 4-2-2-2.

Incidentally, I've sold Fabregas, despite him doing quite well, and replaced him with Mascherano (who is a little more solid, and a little more attacking) and replaced Mata with David Villa as I felt that Mata was pretty much absent.

Balotelli can be had cheap, so can Dzeko, Sturridge and Defoe.

It's a good basis for a decent team though! :)

Well i have 3 teams so i keep them on the bench to keep fitness up :)

Beckford is awesome so i cant sell him but i think i will bin Lukaka and get Balo.

Sigh. Don't think I'll be getting FIFA next year. I'm getting tired of the awful refereeing (players getting away with career-ending tackles, no cards for hacking people down in the box, winning a tackle fairly only to concede a freekick and sometimes a yellow card, etc), the unstable EA servers and the handicapping/tweaking of players during games that make them unrealistic.

There are so many reported issues and EA are pretty much silent on the issue.

Bah.
 
1-1 so far? GGs, you're much better than me going forward, Mata doesn't really work in the middle against good people, not strong enough :(
 
This game winds me up so much. Rinsing through H2H, made it to Div 4 today. Played probably 6-7 games today, not lost. I come up against some French geezer that can't get a shot on target. I make one mistake, he tramps and scores. I constantly hit the woodwork and Neuer makes some unbelievable saves.

Sigh.
 
lol no comment on your last 3 goals.

Outplayed in every game, including the one I won, but how I've lost 4-1 there... meh.
