As the title implies, what things have you learnt from the OcUk forum throughout being here? Despite having joined the forums in 2010, I only became active and started to post around in 2011, so I haven't learnt much yet, but I'm sure I will :)

So, what has it taught me? Well after reading the thread, which was something along the lines of, 'the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you'. I think I can safely say that I'm never going to try and fart whilst I have a bad stomach. If you've read the thread, you'll know what I'm on about (plenty of people with stories about crapping themselves, including one guy that crapped himself at work). It's a bit of a rubbish thing to learn, but I've only been active on here for around 8 months, so I'm sure I'll learn more things along the way.

What have you learnt then? :)

EDIT:
Here's the link to the thread I was on about, http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=15202734#post15202734
If you can, please also post the links to the threads/posts you're referring to :)

Don't make a simple thought out decision by yourself or with the help of those around you.

Ask the internet instead.

That there are some very clever & professional people on here who's advice I take all the time and I can basically come here and get a great answer to a question (amongst the idiots).

Keep your personal life personal.
Get opinions on specific things from people who actually know about those specific things.
Do your own research into what you could buy.

If you ignore the above, make sure you have a water tight case as you will be found out / made to look a fool pretty quickly.

It's taught me never ever bloody anything ever and I live my life by that rule (or was it Nicolas Parsons that taught me that, I must admit I get confused sometimes)

Haha, seems like I've missed some comedy gold. :p Go a link to this thread?

Don't have a link to it, this is what someone else had to say on the matter.

You mean the '6 star thread' where someone wanted to delete a photo on Google images and the ocuk detectives found out about their 'adventures in Japan and Thailand' blog and posts on other forums asking about 'sex related' things? If so, that thread was a real eye opener in showing the really dodgy stuff some people get up to.

I would say that it is a contender to be the best ocuk thread ever.
