The only skill involved is to stay up and fire flares. Nobody can shoot you then.
I might be generalising here a bit, but IMO it is far harder to be a good infantry player than good vehicle (ground or air) player.
EDIT: and for the record i don't count myself as a good player. average infantry player and very poor vehicle player.

Kharg is 64 player map IMO. Another vehicle fest.
Hey i remember posting this a long time ago but it is still really bugging me. I love the game for all but one thing which I believe I am doing something incorrect.
Each time I start the game up it will crash, however if I install the amd 11.10 drivers it is fine, I do this into the default directory it suggests. However when i shut the pc off, the next time I switch it on I have to install the drivers again before bf3 will work.
Am I doing something wrong?

Very strange problem. Maybe try a driver sweeper and install the newest GPU drivers after?

Lol whut i formatted my hdd and came to install bf3from the disc and the dang thing just won't give me an option to install. auto run exe seems to have disappeared and it just opens a picture so i have to downloafb15 gb game:/ it's very odd because it install ed fine originalally and I've tried it in 2 drives with no luck.

Is there any difference between the M39 and QBU-88 apart from reload speeds?
Will such a program wipe my other drivers I must admit it is annoying especially after the patches, because it has stayed the same.
Last time I used it (been a quite a long time actually) I had to choose I want to uninstall GPU drivers and it only uninstalled those.

Anyone know how to solve this error I am getting?
It happens when I try to launch BF3 through Origin.
If I launch BF3 from the start menu it loads Origin fine and then automatically loads BF3 in Origin without problems. If I log into battlelog first before loading Origin its fine also.
I reformatted Windows about 3 days ago and all was fine until tonight....
EDIT: Now the only way I can launch the game is by logging into Battlelog first without loading Origin...

NM I've managed to solve the issue. Setting Chrome to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7 seems to do the trick
Best pilot I have come up against, AerospICE. I mean I am not a brilliant pilot, though never been taken out so quickly, so succintly and so oftenly. I had been raging at him in chat. During which I was complaining about being spawn killed taking off, his reply, "Go on , I'll give you a chance and let you take off then." FFFFFUUUUUUUU. Of course I didn't take him up on his offer. I resorted to using stingers on the ground 
, though was only to disable him and finally I managed tracked him down on ground, upstairs, in the big dock wharehouse on Kharg, only to meet more misery. The guy even had the cheek to add me as a friend. 
Thought of you Tingle, maybe you could hook up with him and get revenge for me.

Heads up guys, apparently Origin will be doing 50% off BF3 today.
Currently not showing up but probably will do any time now
Hopefully they do it for B2K expansion too! All I need to complete my nephews collection for xmas

Anyone playing BF3 with a rig like mine (see sig)? If not, which component(s) should I look at upgrading?
Overclock the CPU and upgrade that GFX card.
I personally would upgrade the CPU to something like a 2500k with 8GB ram and the GFX to a 2GB GTX560 or 2GB 6950.
Whats the price of B2K at the moment then? (Not in the UK at the moment, so shows different prices here).
