Steam Christmas Sale 2011

Just used the wife's account to complete the "trade" achievement. Traded a coupon to eachother, and afterwards we both have the achievement gained... and the EXACT SAME vouchers each that we gave away?!?! IE. Our inventories haven't changed at all.

What?

I just crafted 7 coal into THE WORST COUPON IN THE ENTIRE ****ING WORLD.

-10% of any Deep Silver title. The only ones worth mentioning are Dead Island or Risen. BOTH OF WHICH ARE WELL OVER 10% OFF.

IT'S NOT EVEN A GOLD TOKEN. WHAT IS THIS ****!?

I think the inventory system is completely borked. That or the trading system is. I traded a voucher and it doesn't seem to have updated for me either.

is the thq version still steam activated ?

I haven't the faintest idea. I only mentioned SR3 because it looked like the only thing that wasn't already discounted. Turns out I was looking at a DLC pack rather than the actual game.

DLC should never be 13 quid. That's disgraceful.

Maybe, although you get 3 upcoming 'mission' DLCs, so £4 each. (You get a car, an outfit and some other stuff too I think)

Although for £15 now you can have all of that worth £13, plus the actual game, and some preorder bonus pack.

Can't see all that being cheaper than £15 for a long time to come myself.

Depends on what the DLC is IMO, it can range from anything from cosmetic changes ('outfits') to full-on expansions (that traditionally would have sold for £13 when called 'expansions').

I think "DLC" tends to get thought of in terms of microtransactions of a few quid that will add a couple of hours extra gameplay at most, but taken literally it can mean almost anything. This perception means that if I was a publisher, I'd be reticent to label anything meaty (say a dozen hours or more of gameplay, costing over a tenner) as DLC.

OMG

Even though I own Borderlands cd, I just bought Borderlands game of the year with all 4 dlc's and Fallout New Vegas with all dlc's .. Not sure whether to be totally happy or not as it gives my wife the power to call for another gift (Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo).

:)

It isn't on a daily! Never buy games until the final day!
