Bit far north for me but Sheffield & Nottingham are Awesome for poomtang, Go to far North though & they get a bit manly.+
I used to live in Notthingham. I love Nottinghamshire accent! I used to have one but not any more.

Sand dancer here, work in the toon as well.
Its great up here. Everything is a lot more relaxed. Worked down in Surrey for a while, and really did miss being up here! I missed being on the coast more than anything else. The breeze keeps the smell away . . . .
Just be glad you didn't goto Sunderland. Its the exception to the area up here. There were plans to build a massive wall around it , but for some reason it was shelved.

It's the same up here. People in Edinburgh are like Londoners, rude, abrasive, horrible, tight, gits. Glasgow folk are lovely though.

lmao don't say that, Phil is from South Shields. Theres nothing wrong with Sunderland. Well at times it can be like London.
People that think up north is better than London and its surrounding counties, are not utilising London to its full advantage.
You're living in one of the greatest cities in the world, with endless posibilities of what to do. For me it was literally 1000x better than anything the North could offer. Which is why it's 5x the price. I was a seasoned traveller in the UK. Living in London surburbia, visiting most cities many many times as part of my job. Nothing came close to London. Each city like Newcastle or Manchester was just like a small part of London, and I quickly got bored as far as I was concerned.
The only thing about London that it doesn't have going for it, is the inner city trash & crime that comes with it. (as is the case with all other cities in the world) Most of which you can avoid ! Yes the girls are more friendly up north. They're also slapped up with too much makeup, or too much on show, and either overweight & pasty or fake brown/orange from too much fake tan. Of course there's good and bad everywhere in terms of totty, (London chavettes as an example! but for the most part, the southern girls were just more classy and harder to bag ! Which made things more interesting !
