What film did you watch last night?

For me, the best part of Bad Teacher was the car wash scene and the reaction of the children who were watching her wash the cars.

I had very high hopes of that movie and felt that the bad teacher, wasn't bad enough.

Watched a couple of films last night:

Nativity! - Enjoyed it, but I am a primary teacher so I guess it's my cup of tea. There was an unrealistically small amount of stress putting that show together though! 7.5/10

Scrooged - first time I've seen it, was fun. 7/10.

Zodiac 8/10
Based on the serial killer known as Zodiac, who was at large in California in the late 60's and early 70's. To this day his true identity remains unknown.
Starring Jake Gyllenhall, Robert Downey Jr with Brian Cox.

Me and the mrs watched that when it first came out, absolutely brilliant film and i would give it a 9/10.
Quite a long one too, close to 3 hours.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus 8/10

An amazing film as long as you stay with it, it's very easy to get lost somewhat, but definitely worth the watch IMO

I saw Abduction last night.

Lautner was awful in it...I had no empathy for him.
I'm not sure if his acting is always this bad, but I thought his acting was the worst I've seen in a movie, in a very long time. The acting you see in Home & Away, Neighbours, etc is far superior.

The movie itself, wasn't as bad as I thought.
In fact, the first half of the movie was top notch (9/10) stuff. The later half of the movie (after the house is blown up), was the usual, unimaginative (we've ran out of ideas) Hollywood stuff (5/10).

Overall, 6.5/10.

Rocky IV - 3/10

Compared to the earlier films it was absolutely dreadful. I can't understand the loyal following this instalment has, it felt like a bad 80's music video in parts.

I'll be watching Rocky Balboa tomorrow.

As far as Christmas movies go:

Jingle All The Way - not as good as I remember, oh dear lol.
3/10

Home Alone - Not seen it ages and was much better than I expected.
9/10

Die Hard - Ultra violence? Check. OTT blood? Check. Loud guns and explosions? Check. Killing bad guys and saving the day? Check.
10/10 :D

Tucker & Dale Vs Evil

Was supposed to be The red neck equiv to Shaun of The Dead... Highly rated by critics as well as reviewers, however I give a 6 out of 10 at best. Watchable but nothing more. Got really cheesy towards the end. Main chick was hot though.. Like really hot.

4 ? Wasn't that bad, you sure you're not mistaking it for 5 ? Cos that was crap. As I'm sure everyone else will agree.

1,2,3 & 4 are all classics. Albeit cringeworthy 80's classics.. A bit like Top Gun or Road House... Perhaps if you're like 20 and not from that era and not raised with such movies, then maybe, i could see it being absolutely dreadful... But otherwise, surely you've got to be mistaking it for 5 ? Right?
